Just Booked!!!!!! Anyone stay on Wonder 8052?

We just booked! A little nervous about taking the kids out of school but I think the 4 day Sea/3 day land sounded better since we have been to Disney before. Thank you all for your help, still lots more planning to do!

We didn't stay in 8052 but we did stayin 8084 which isn't too far from there. It's just a little bit further back on the ship on the same side as you (port side). I hope this is helpful for you. First of all deck 8 is great. It's one deck below the pools and Topsiders buffet and the pizza/hot dogs/hamburgers and the all important ice cream!!! Walk from your cabin towards the back of the ship on the port side and use the back stairs directly one flight up to Topsiders. Our kids ran back and forth to bring snacks etc. back to the cabin on trays. We also did this for breakfast. They wanted to stay in the cabin and watch TV so we'd bring them a tray of breakfast and only had to walk down the back stairs and take a very short walk to our cabin.

Deck 8 is dedicated to family verandahs and suites. It's very quiet and very convenient to the pools and the food. It is however a bit away from the other things like the theaters, clubs, and restaurants. Because of this we probably didn't spend as much time on the lower decks as we might have.

You'll have a WONDERful time. You may want to check out renting a room at the Comfort Inn next to Atlantis (they give you access to all the amenities that the Atlantis like the pools and water slides). Or you can get a room at the Atlantis - more expensive but more convenient. The aquariums, water slides and beaches are great there. They do have a height requirement for the slides however. Can't remember what it is. You'll have to check out the website at the Atlantis. We figured it was about the cost of a waterpark for four or as much as a shore excursion. We loved that day the best when we took our cruise. Second best day was Castaway Cay. If you go to Freeport - stay on board and enjoy the uncrowded pool - if not enjoy your day at sea!!

Just stayed in 8052 on the Magic two weeks ago. Perfect location, easy to "run" upstairs to get a drink, snack, or to the pools. Loved it, but you can hear some noise from the deck above, but is wasn't that intrusive. Looking for 8036 next time however.
