Hi Guys,

Today is my 90 day window to book my ADRs and I am happy to report that I got everything I wanted. It will be me, DH and our 2 boys ages 13 and 11. We will be staying at the GF from May 15 to May 22. We will be on the basic DDP. I am so excited. :cheer2: Here is where we are going to eat.

Friday May 15th - Chef Mickeys Dinner 6:35 pm (booked earlier)
Saturday May 16th - Le Cellier Dinner 4:45 pm
Sunday May 17th - Crystal Palace breakfast 8:05 am (before MK opens)
Monday May 18th - no TS today
Tuesday May 19th - Grand Floridian Cafe Dinner 6:40 pm
Wednesday May 20th - Mama Melrose FDP at 4:30 pm
Thursday May 21st - Whispering Canyon Cafe dinner 5:00 pm
Friday May 22nd - Chef Mickeys Breakfast 8:05 am (booked earlier)

I know it must seem strange to have Chef Mickeys twice but my kids and my DH love it. We have only been to WDW twice before and both times we went to Chef Mickeys breakfast and it will be our tradition for each trip. This time the boys also wanted to try Chef Mickeys for dinner and we thought it would be a great way to start the trip.

I really did not want to go to Mama Melrose but with the limited viewings of Fantasmic we felt like we had no choice but to do the FDP. We did not want to do another buffet so H&V was out and we did not want to waste 2 TS credits so HBD was out so that left Mama Melrose. I really wish they would make Sci Fi or 50's PT for the FDP but we have to work with what they give us. :confused3

Since we are staying at the GF I was also able to book the cabana for 2 of our days so I am excited about that too. :beach:

Good Luck to anyone making their ADRs today. I was on hold for a few min. and at first the girl kept wasting time because she kept spelling my last name wrong and I had to correct her 3 times and I was getting worried that I would not be able to get what I wanted because she can't get it right but it all worked out. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

They look great! Some of our favorites! Not sure if it will still be considered lunch time at 4:30, but at Mama's, ask for Barbara.she is fantastic! Totally understand about traditions, that's what makes it magical! Have a great trip!

I was going to book the character breakfast at the Poly for our last day but DH and the kids wanted Chef Mickeys for the last day and they all felt that would be a better fit for our family. They were not too crazy about the family style meal. They like having more choices at the buffet. I have never been inside the Poly so since we will be at the GF...only a monorail ride away, we may just pop over to check it out.

Thanks,

Loralie

We're a group of 10, 6 of which are kids under 13. We're down at WDW from May 10 to 17. Here's what we chose:

May 10 - Coral Reef dinner
May 11 - Crystal Palace breakfast (start the week off at MK)
May 12 - Teppan Edo dinner (with Illuminations reserved seating after)
May 13 - Whispering Canyon dinner
May 14 - Chef Mickey breakfast
May 15 - Boma breakfast
May 16 - Ohana dinner

Reading reviews here really helped us with restaurant selections. My DD11 needs to eat gluten-free, so I'm a bit nervous about her being able to fully experience Disney dining. But I've heard good things about Disney chefs accomodating food allergies.

We have booked our ADR's today as well - we will be at Chef Mickey dinner on the same evening -as you are just leaving we will probably just coming in - our ADR is 6.35 pm. Did you book Planet Hollywood through Disney Dining - didn't know you could do that one.

Loralie

Your choices are very similar to ours - we are just going on different days.

As we are sharing, my ADR's are as follows :

Sat 16th May Princess Storybook, Akerhaus breakfast 11am
Sat 16th May Coral Reef dinner (anniversary) 6.40 pm
Sun 17th May Counter service only
Mon 18th May Chef Mickey dinner 6.35pm
Tues 19th May Le Cellier dinner 7.05 pm
Wed 20th May 1900 Park Fayre 7.45 pm
Thurs 21st May Crystal Palace breakfast 10.05 am
Thurs 21st May Mama Melrose FDP 4.55 pm
Fri 22nd May Tusker House breakfast 10.30am
Sat 23rd May Tutto Italia dinner 7.15 pm
Sun 24th May Sci Fi lunch 12.15 pm
Sun 24th May Cape May dinner 7.40pm

We got all our times within 10 minutes apart from FDP when we could have done with a bit later. Tutto will be branch new to us, never done Crystal Palace for breakfast - only lunch and dinner and never tried Tuskers breakfast (apart from when it was CS - though we did do Breakfastaursaurus).

great choices:thumbsup2 , except mama melroses imo:confused3

the only place @ WDW we will never return after a horrid fantasmic meal 2 years ago:sad2: , mostly inedible food (ranging from a bowl of congealed spaghetti for my son, my really fatty osso bucco & a burnt (not blackened) steak for the mr

when i called the server over was told "...no use complaining, it's always like this..." , we've stuck w/H&V ever since...@ least we can find something decent to eat among the offerings

agree, they need to expand the options, especially since Fantasmic will only be offered a few times a week...think the competition for ADRs will increase dramatically.popcorn::

hopefully, they've improved!

Wow...that is a big group you have going :grouphug: Sounds like you have some great choices. I am sure the kids will love it. I have also heard great things about food allergies and dining at WDW. Have a great trip.

It is funny how we have so many of the same ADR's. You are going for an extra day and you have a few more TS meals than I have. Are you on the DDP? I am assuming you will be paying OOP for a couple of those meals if you are. I forgot to mention that we are also paying OOP for Beaches and Cream for lunch one day but since you can't make an ADR for that I did not put it in the list.

Have a great trip,

Loralie
