So excited to be going back to Disney this Christmas!!!We have gone before in December(the week before Christmas)but to actually be in Disney on Christmas day is just so exciting to me..I have never pulled off surprising our son for our other trips but I am determined to do it for this trip!!

I know that it is going to be very crowded and the weather may not be great but it is the only time that is good for us to go....
Has anyone been at Disney on Christmas day?
Any tips?
Thanks!!!!!!

ENJOY :) We went two days after and into the New Year and the weather was great, some days able to swim. I plan to do the Holiday when my kids agree to be there on the day.

We were there from Dec 22 to Jan 1st this year. We did rope drop and by the times the masses were entering we were on our way out.

My wife and I try to go every Christmas.... we are teachers and the break away from the stress and strain in Dec is great. But do remember, the parks are very crowded and the prices are very high. But knowing and accepting that and planning accordingly are the keys to a great trip. The weather is another issue. In December, 2010, we had to bundle in layers and pictures look like we were up north not in Florida.... 2011 was fine... cool but light jackets were enough. We couldn't go in 2012, but will be there in 2013. The decorations are great. The lights at HS, the storytellers at Epcot, the candlelight processional and lots more all make it a great holiday time. Just plan in advance; make ADRs and know you may not have time to do everything.
We usually are there for 10 or 11 days and have no trouble getting everything done we want to do! Enjoy the next few months of planning.

2012 it was freezing! Every night on the news they were telling you to wrap your trees and bushes.

We did a Christmas week visit (December 23 to December 30) to Orlando this past holiday season.

You can check out my trip report (click on the link in my signature) for a detailed summary of our experience. Note that we focused on the SeaWorld parks, as opposed to the Disney parks, but we did do a Disney character meal and visited DTD as well.

We booked our first ever xmas trip for this year to. Dec 23 rd to Jan 3 rd. We are doing Discovery Cove on Xmas day.....so excited!!!
