Just booked a great rate with National for Jan-Feb 2011

I know it's early, and rates MAY go down, but...

I just booked a full size crossover for $199/wk with National. For 10 days my total is $356.70 with taxes. Last year we paid about this for a minivan (another fabulous $199/wk deal), but right now the price for a van is over $1000.

Until I find a better deal, I'm pretty happy with this one!

The only code was the Emerald Club member code for the additional 10% off. I spotted the deal on orbitz, then went to National's website and booked it there. I didn't try any of the Mousesaver codes because I was scared the deal would be gone by the time I booked it (been there, done that!) Now that I've secured this rate, I may try playing with the codes and see if anything better pops up.

I'm hoping to apply one of the $40 off per week coupons that I get by email, but it will have to be closer to the date. I was able to do this last year, so we'll see if they will do it again.
