Well, I have been trying diligently to find a site for Christmas time and up until today the only thing I had seen is tent/pop-up sites. I finally got lucky and got a full hook-up for the 19th-23rd.:santa:

We have only ever stayed in premium sites. We like the extra space, and our 5th wheel is kinda big. My question is, can I even fit in a full hookup site? The camper is just shy of 39' long with 3 slides on the street side (drivers side) and one on the curb side. How much smaller is a full compared to a premium?

I am going to try to upgrade and add days, but I wanted to jump on this opening to get my foot in the door and I need to plan accordingly in case we aren't able to upgrade.

Thanks.

There are some pretty big sites in the full hookups. You'll just have less concrete than premium. Might have to back the 5ver onto the "sand" pad behind the concrete. We have done this many times and not had a problem. The only concern could be the actual backing into the site. Full hookups do not have the nice open tapered entrances the premiums have. Could cause a lot more jockeying back and forth to get in. Congrats on getting your foot into the door for a holiday ressie.....good luck upgrading to premium, but don't worry too much if you can't get it. A lot of big rigs manage just fine in full hook up.:goodvibes

OK, I am looking for what loops are "Full Hook-up" and according to the FAQ thread there aren't any more "Full Hook-up" loops. It says that there will be Premium, Preferred, and Partial once the renovations are done. I know I just booked a Full, so what loops are we talking about here? Is this like the "Beyond" part of the store in Bed, Bath, and Beyond??????:scared1:

I always ask to look at the loop/site layout maps they have at check in and look for a site that is easiest to back into as I have a 39' fiver also. The only people that have these are at check in. It is possible to back into a full/preferred site but some are tighter than others depending on trees, site # poles and garbage cans...and whether the person across from you parked on the edge of the road. If you don't think you can fit you can always go back up to check in and ask for another site. I have had to do this several times. :thumbsup2

As far as i know 1600-1900 are still Full Hook and i think 1200 & 1300 are still the same

The full hook ups are the 1600 to 1900 loops. Some are bigger than others. Just make sure you told the reservation agent the size of your unit, slides,
5th wheel, etc. and you shouldn't have a problem.

When the campsite "improvements" were first announced, Disney intended to do away with the full hook up designation, and just have three levels of sites (Premium, Preferred and Partial). That is where the information in the FAQ's came from. When Disney started charging folks in the 1600-1900 loops the same as folks in the 100-300 loops, complaints arose. The location of the 100-300 loops is far superior to the location of the 1600-1900 loops. So, the 100-300 loops remained designated as preferred sites, and the 1600-1900 loops remained designated as full hook up loops.

So, the information first published in the FAQ thread was based on an early announcement from Disney, but it is not correct, based on what was actually constructed. It really should be corrected, as it is definitely no longer correct.

Post #11, which appears a bit later in the FAQ's thread has the correct site designations:

Loop 100 - Preferred
Loop 200 - Preferred
Loop 300 - Preferred (Pet friendly loop)
Loop 400 - Premium (Pet friendly loop)
Loop 500 - Premium (Pet friendly loop)
Loop 600 - Premium (Pet friendly loop)
Loop 700 - Premium (Pet friendly loop)
Loop 800 - Premium (Pet friendly loop)
Loop 900 - Premium (Pet friendly loop)
Loop 1000 - Premium
Loop 1100 - Premium
Loop 1200 - Premium
Loop 1300 - Premium
Loop 1400 - Premium
Loop 1500 - Partial
Loop 1600 - Full (Pet friendly loop)
Loop 1700 - Full (Pet friendly loop)
Loop 1800 - Full (Pet friendly loop)
Loop 1900 - Full (Pet friendly loop)
Loop 2000 - Partial

The only question mark on this information is what loops are pet loops and which ones aren't. The ones listed on this list as pet friendly have poop bag dispensers on them. The other loops don't. But, they call some of the non-pet loops overflow loops for pets, and pets have been observed on every loop.

So, if you reserved a Full Hook Up, you will be on a site somewhere in the 1600-1900 loops.

As far as i know 1600-1900 are still Full Hook and i think 1200 & 1300 are still the same

Nope! 1200 & 1300 are premium. The only full hook-up loops are 1600-1900. To the OP - the only loop in full hook-up that you would have an issue with is 1900. If you fax a request in for 1600 or 1700, you will have no problems at all with the size of the sites. There are a couple of sites in the middle of 1600 that back up to the canal which are a little short - but 99% of the sites in 1600 & 1700 will work just fine.

And just in case you wonder.... there is no reason NOT to back your rig all the way back into the site on the coquina pad. I don't know why, but I see a lot of people keep all their tires on the concrete pad when it isn't necessary to do so. Everything is crammed to the front of the site, to the point their cars impede traffic on the loops. I've never understood the logic of that? :confused3

OK, thanks for all the help everyone. I will make sure to put a request for 1600 or 1700 on my ressie, just in case I don't get to upgrade.
