Alright, all you BWV lovers, tell me everything, lol. DH and I are staying at VB for one week in July, and what can I say, we need our Jiko fix :cloud9: , so we decided to hit WDW for one day.

Since it is a bit of a drive, we decided to book a room so we'd have a place to shower and change for dinner, and have the option to stay overnight if we're too tuckered out to drive back to VB that night (heck, after a glass of that fabulous wine at Jiko, I'm sure we'll be glad to have a bed, lol). Plan to leave VB after a morning on the beach, drive to WDW, check-in, head to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach for the afternoon, return to the room for a shower/change, and off to Jiko for dinner.

We've never stayed at BWV before, so I booked a PV studio (req. non-smoking) for one night. I figured that we'd give the BW a try for just one night to see how we like it :goodvibes

Is there anything we should know, or anything special we should do while we're at the BWV? Thanks, Dis'ers!

:rotfl: that sounds like something we'd do! We LOVE Jiko!!! Have fun!

The Boardwalk is great for a stroll at night -- the entertainment and atmosphere can't be beat.

Waitlist for a BW view room. Same number of points. You might luck out since you only need one night. A glass of wine on the balcony watching all of the BW activity will be great. If you happen to be back in your room when Epcot fireworks begin (probably not unless your Jiko reservation is early), you can enjoy the show. Have a great trip! Wish I could go to Jiko with you. We love Boma but have never done Jiko. DH absolutely refuses to eat anywhere is WDW that requires him to dress up.

All you need to do is have a ball!! BWV is a beautiful resort and so far, our favorite!!:thumbsup2

Jejones, Thanks for the tip about waitlisting for BW View. Good idea! I'm calling member services today!

Also, definitely don't let the dress code deter your DH from going to Jiko (my DH also doesn't like to dress up on vacation, but any pair of khakis with a short sleeve collared non-t-shirt (polo shirt might work; DH wears a short sleeve Tommy Bahama shirt) with any pair of shoes that aren't sneakers would do for Jiko...they are "business casual," so anything that you would wear to work on a dress down Friday is fine. The atmosphere is not fussy at all! They just don't want people showing up in ripped jeans and muscle shirt, kwim?)

We will enjoy our stay at BW, and I know you will enjoy your future meal at Jiko (hopefully sooner rather than later!):goodvibes
