I had to do a circular crochet cast-on for one of these(i'm working on it right now) and I thought I was going to have a fit. Hooks feel so strange in my hands.

Oh yuck. I feel strange with the knitting needles. One problem I have with patterns is I am left handed and everything is written for right handed people. That is no fun.

Oh no! I can imagine that's just so annoying. Hey, are you on Ravelry.com?? They have tons of patterns, and everyone posts pictures of their own version of them.

No, I have never heard of it before. I need to go on there and look.

I have a question for you. That eyeglass website how much are the lenses?

It really depends. If it's just for a single vision prescription(no bifocal, progressive, or high-index) then you can get a pair for as low as $8 I believe. Though I do recommend getting the Anti-reflective coating for an additional $4.99.

Oh wow that is so cheap. Kody is all for it. Kacy is afraid they won't fit her face the way she wants.:rolleyes1

There's a photo uploader that you can do for a "virtual" try-on. OR if she has a pair of glasses that she likes the size of, you could measure them and compare them to other frames that she likes.

FYI: One thing I had trouble with at first was that I knew my prescription but not my PD(pupillary distance). I measured the best I could with a ruler, but this last time with my order zenni actually sent me little guides that make it so much easier to check. If you guys don't know your PD, I could mail you one of the guides if you'd like.

You know I bet I know another way to do this. I am going to buy Kacy a pair at Costco, and when I do I will get the measurement from them and I bet they will tell me Kody's and mine. Those prices are amazing.

Good idea! I like Costco glasses too btw(it's what I got before I discovered that website), but now zenni let's me be glasses bipolar and wear a different pair every day :rotfl:

One of the pairs I bought at Costco this last time are made from recycled materials. Which I found was really cool because I think they are cute too. And they plant a tree for every pair sold. I am all for saving the environment.

YAY! Go Sharks! Great game. I also bought myself a personal size cheese pizza and a chocolate malt cup(with the wacky wooden spoon), you know, just to feel like I am 7 again.
I bought one of those chocolate malt cups, like every day, in junior high :rotfl:

I then had lunch with a friend that I lost contact with a year or so ago. She found me on Facebook. We started lunch at 1.00pm & finally left at 6,00pm...good food & good company.
Gotta love FB! :thumbsup2

I thought that was interesting too - I've never had a prescription with PD and they made it sound like it was standard for prescriptions? :confused3

-----------------------------

Good weekend overall. DH is doing good, he even got out of the house today for an hour or so to see 1 of DD6's soccer jamboree games. And she scored a goal in that game! :cheer2: Their team actually ended up winning their division :thumbsup2

Some friends brought over some chili and cornbread (and mini cupcakes!!! MMMM) so I'll need to get that reheated and serve. And oh - enjoying a glass of vino too. :)

Yay for DD on her goal and winning. Glad to hear that DH is up and about.

Enjoy your chili.

That's the thing, optometrists don't like giving out the PD because they want you to order glasses with them. Though, if you buy glasses at Costco(for example) they do measure your PD, and it ends up being on your order form. So it's all very weird and convoluted. Were you going to order from zennioptical? Like I told Michele, I could mail you one of the PD guides if you're having trouble with it.

And the fact that they are cute is a win win.

Totally :thumbsup2

The weather is so strange lately! We had a massive heat wave over the weekend, now its pouring down with rain ! :confused3

Our weather is odd too. We are having unseasonably warm weather.

I wanted to share this. A friend of mine made some lime green Mickey's for her families trip.

Aren't they adorable?
