We were there from Thursday, September 29th through Monday, October 3rd. We were originally going to stay until Tuesday, but Monday was a zoo so we left. Thursday - Sunday was perfect. No crowds, no lines, no waits. MNSSHP on Friday the 30th was fantastic! Also, no crowds. Someone posted a thread that the Headless Horseman was gone from the parade - NOT TRUE. He starts the parade and was just as awesome this year as he is every year. We rode Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain numerous times, sometimes not even getting off the ride - that's how empty it was. Monday was a different story ... crowds comparable to Summer - since a lot of schools are closed this week. So, we stayed for the morning, ate lunch, and then left. It worked out well - since we went on all the rides the 4 prior days - same hold true for MGM, Epcot, and AK - no crowds. The food and wine festival was awesome! I ate something in every country - often just taking a bite and throwing the rest away, but it was so worth it to taste all the different foods. Any questions, feel free to ask!

For some reason I have always found Mondays to be really busy at MK. Not just a little busier, but extemely busy. My one hot tip, Mondays are a no go at MK!!

Glad you enjoyed the F&W, one of my favorite things! I am very excited to try out the Singapore booth (I have family from there) anyone tell me what's on offer?

I just had a look on allears, doesn't look like Singapore made it, that's a shame. They did have it down originally as one of the new booths. Sulk sulk!!

No wait! They have a picture captioned as being from the Singapore booth...someone help!! Do you have your F&W guide.....tell me please!!! Is it there??!!

ReggieB, it is there this year :) For some reason Deb is missing that and another country I believe. Here are the offerings:

Singapore

$3.00 - Popiah (Pork Spring Roll)

$3.75 - Laksa Lemak (Shrimp and Coconut Milk Soup)

Wine/Beer

$2.50 - Saint M Riesling

$1.75 - Hogue Gewurztraminer

$4.75 - Tiger Beer

Thanks for posting. Now I know to get to the parade early to see the Horseman ride.

Thanks Bumbles! The Laksa sounds very tasty..it's nearly lunchtime here, and my tummy is rumbling so much!!

So Poohsmommi, what was your favorite thing to try at F&W, and what was the worst? (just in the interests of a fair and balanced view!!) I liked the look of the Irish and Australian booths (stomach is really rumbilng now)

My favorite was in China - it the chicken on a stick with some kind of spicy sauce over it. I tried the eggplant with lamb in Greece and while it was good, I wouldn't rave over it. I think all of the food was tasty ... and boy, did I eat!! LOL
