Yes, we did the show at the Galaxy Theater (Twas the Night before Xmas) twice. The first show, we arrived about 15 minutes early and had okay seats. The couple in front had a small child who kept bouncing and standing and it was somewhat hard to see. Thus, we waited the 30 minutes until the next show (it was well worth it) to have 3rd row seats (the first two rows are handicapped). It was a very cute show about 20 minutes or so in length. It's run several times throughout the night but we caught the 6:15 show since we were all waiting it out in Tomorrowland anyways.
The show at the castle (the name escapes me) was cute but crowded. My daughter (17) liked the Galaxy Theater one better. I thought it was very nice and enjoyed it. I would hold out for one of the later shows whereas to lessen the crowds.
They began letting people into MK at 4:00. Everything is opened and running until 6 where very promptly the rides all shut down and almost all restaurants including counter service except those few that open for
MVMCP. Guests are huddled into Tomorrowland but everything in that area is running. I found the crowds to be very managable during that time and the lines and wait time as well. At 7:00, they drop the rope and everyone can head to the other areas of the park.
Tinkerbell dropped during Wishes. We were sitting right there and had a clear view.
COP was opened briefly but I believe it did close for a brief time between 6-7:00.
Clearly do the later parade if you can. Much less crowded. We experienced larger crowds than we anticipated. The lines for the pictures were all quite long. We finally headed there after the 10:45 parade and only waited about 10 minutes or so.
Don't miss the Xmas Hop (I think that's what it was called) in Ariel's Grotto especially if you have small children. Chip, Dale and Pluto danced their hearts out with the kids. A DJ plays music and it's really cool! Even the big kids joined in ocassionally. It was so much fun to sit back and watch all of them!
Any more questions, ask away. Hope this helps.
