and we had a great time and some really great meals. We ate at Yachtsman Steakhouse, Restaurant Marrekesh in Morroco, Counter service in China, O'Hana's, Whispering Canyon Cafe, and Biergarten in Germany, I will be happy to answer any questions.:D

Welcome back & Im glad you had a great trip.
Id love to hear about Yachtmans Steakhouse since we are trying that for the first time on our July trip.

Curious about Biergarten. We have a PS for dinner when we go next month, but I wasn't sure how it will be with little kids, as we have never been there before. My kids are 13, 4 and 2. TIA:cool:

Would be interested to hear about Ohanas. We are going to eat there during our trip this year.

I am going to do one restraunt review at a time and then post it as I just finished writing about the Yachtsman, Biergarten AND Ohanas and I don't know what key I hit but I deleted the whole thing:rolleyes:

We ate at the Yachtsman on the day we arrived. We had PS seating for 8:30, got there about 15 min. early and were seated about 10 min. later. We didn't get any appetizers so we could have room for dessert. It was DH my 2 DS's age 11 and me. DH and DS's had the Filet Mignon, and I had the Land and Sea which was a 6 oz. filet mignon and a lobster tail. We all agreed the filet mignon was one of the best we ever had, DS's finished their entire steak, and it was cooked exactly to our requests. My lobster tail was a little dry, but I still enjoyed it. For dessert 3 of us had the creme brulee which was topped with lots of blackberries, raspberries and strawberries, it was very good. One DS had the brownie a la mode and he said it was good(he ate the whole thing). We had a table by the window and we could see the fireworks from Illuminations, and since it was Valentines Day I got a long stemmed rose before dessert was served. DH and I had a bottle of Merlot which the waitress recommened, it was good and we brought what was left in it back to our room. We would definatly eat here again.

We ate at the Biergarten with friends of ours so we were a total of 8 and had a table to ourselves. They usually seat familes together to fill up the tables, which has always worked out well in the past. The atmosphere is nice too, you are sitting in a German village at "night". We had PS for 4:50, got there a little late at 4:55, and we were still seated within 10 min. We have been coming here since DS's were 4. There is a wide variety of food so everyone finds something that they like. They do have chicken fingers for the kids too. DS's have always liked the Sauerbraten (they like pot roast, so I told them thats what is was to get them to try it and they liked it) There are suasages and we all like the bratwurst. There is also Knockwurst which is like hot dogs, but they are too fat for DS's, but they eat the saurkraut that comes with it. There is also rotisserie chicken, chicken schnitzel, rice, spaetzel and a variety of meats and sauces to go with them, the apricot chutney was good, first time we tried that. They have a good selection of salads and side dishes too. DS's love the pretzel bread and always get a few of those. The desserts were very good too, the Bavarian cheesecake was delicious, and they also have puddings, fruit, black forest cake, and apple strudel with vanilla sauce on the side. Dh always gets the Oktoberfest beer, which I like too, we didn't think they would have it this time of year,(they didn't list it as a choice) but they did.

The show is good and when the kids were younger they would go down on the dance floor.

Now for Ohana's, We went there Monday with another group of friends, so there were 4 adults and 4 children. We had PS for 5:30, we got there about 5:25 and had to wait 20 - 25 min to be seated. They take you past samples of their desserts when you go in and they looked soo good. Then they take you past the fire pit where the meats are cooked on giant skewers, and you pick up your bread here (the seater let the kids bring it to the table and they loved that). After taking drink orders the starters are put on lazy susans on the table. The honey lime salad dressing was delicious! Everyone enjoyed the other choices too, the stir fried string beans, won tons, stir fried rice, and the kids really liked the chicken wings. Then they start bring the skewered meats to the table, usually 2 choices at a time. The meats are beef, pork, turkey and shrimp. They push off about 4 pieces of whatever you want at a time, but you can ask for more or less. And they are always coming back to see if you want more, there was no limit to how much you could have. We were all so full we didn't order any desserts even though we wanted to try some of them. But then they do bring you sliced pineapple with skewers to dip it into a caramel sauce they have on the side, and that tasted surprisingly good. They have games for the kids during your meal, coconut broom races and the kids get gummy worms at the end. Hula Hoop contests, and a ukelele singer was strolling around too. We had a great time and a great meal and it was reasonable, $160 for the 8 of us including tip(which was already added as we were a group of 8)
