just back yesterday from a little getaway, just me and dh. Hubby planned last minute for our anniversary so we couldn't get anything in dvc at any resort. Got AP discount at ASM $49/night. Awesome deal, but what a drag to get to EPCOT for Food and Wine!! Anyway it was a great trip. No kid nagging us, if dh wanted to do a cooking seminar, the foodie he is, he went and I lounged at the pool. Had an awesome dinner at Flying Fish. Frankie really took care of us because DH told him earlier it was our anniversary. We had champagne, desert, etc. on him. Smart guy, he got a great tip. He's always our waiter of choice. He's so attentive to all his customers needs.

Hadn't been to Food and Wine since 1997. It's even better now. It's definitely a must next year. Just need to plan earlier so we can get BCV or BWV.

Oh well, back to reality. And back to planning.

Glad you had a nice time. We're planning our 10th anniversary trip for next year. First trip away from my youngest! I'm so looking forward to getting away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll miss them, but it will be nice to have a few days without soemone pulling on my shirt all the time!
And the meals! I just lie in bed thinking about where I will wnat to go eat in peace. LOL

DH and I did the 10 year anniversary alone at Disney. It was great the first day and then it hit us dd and ds weren't with us. It might have been easier to handle if it weren't for all the kids their ages running around. That was our first and last trip without them. We figure soon they'll be at the age that they don't want to go with us and then will have alone time before grandchildren come along.

We celebrated our 35th at WDW and OKW in August. Got a great anniversary meal at Artists Point and they even gave us a free signature dessert!
