...never again on Columbus Day!!! Of course, it was the official opening of Mission Space, Wishes, and Philharmagic and I think that made it worse. Crowds were only unmanageable on the Saturday of Columbus weekend at MK, but they were like I've never seen before! (Plus it was HOT!!) We had fastpasses for Peter Pan at 3:30, but couldn't make our way through Fantasyland. Finally, we realized that the fastpass line extended almost to the carosel, and ditched that idea. The rest of the week, crowds were mainly managable. When there's a 40 minute wait for Small World, you know you're in trouble.
Wishes: AWESOME, UNBELIEVABLE I didn't know I could get so excited about fireworks, but they're not just fireworks. We watched them three times!
Philharmagic: I laughed so hard I had tears streaming down my face. So, so, so good!!! Disney at it's funniest and best.
Mission Space: I actually felt nauseous during the liftoff, something I rarely have problems with. No dizziness afterwards, but my friend complained afterwards. (Well, she complained most of the trip, so what's the difference?) But definately worth doing. When I started feeling sick, I thought "it's only two more minutes." Well worth the ride.
My dd rode space mountain for the first time (and RnR!). She loved it. This past Saturday night, we closed it down, catching the second to the last car! (Our fifth ride that night!) The crowds were no where nearly as bad as on the 12th.
My 6 year old dd was ready to come home, but I could have stayed longer.... I love living in that altered reality with no house or yard to deal with, no office, no school and extra-cirricular stuff. Oh well, there's always next time, whenever that may be.
