We stayed at the Candy Cane in the 19th -24th. Had a great time- One question though.
I did notice the burnt popcorn smell and could somebody tell me again why that is? I was trying to
find it here on these boards, because I know somebody did explain why that is. Very interesting.
The Candy Cane Inn is absolutely beautiful, flowers everywhere!!

I just made reservations at the Candy Cane Inn for our upcoming trip and I have many questions for you --

How far was the park entrance? Did you walk or take the shuttle? Was the shuttle service satisfactory?

Are there restaurants and/or convenience stores nearby?

Did you like your room? Was the service good? Do you know if the Airport Bus stops here for other area tours and to go to LAX?

Did you use the pool? Any comments about the pool/pool area?

Thanks for any info you can give. I'm anxious about choosing a hotel (so many choices), so glad to hear you liked the Candy Cane Inn!

We walked a few mornings and if the shuttle was right at the hotel we used the shuttle. Walking took us about 10 min. Also coming home from the parks if the shuttle was right at the pick up place we would take it or just walk home. It is a wonderful walk (so beautiful with lots of flowers!) The shuttle service was excellent. Very nice drivers. We had a car so we were able to go to restraunts (a lot of good ones on Katella) I don't know right around the hotel- I believe a Denny's- and about stores, I can't remember any the really stood out. THe room was wonderful- 2 queen beds and fridge (little) it was okay for the 4 of us 2 adults and 2 kids (8&5). Room service was always wonderful. I do not know about the airport bus?!.
And the pool was great for the kids- Not big by any means but enough for them. THey have a jaquzzi right there also and a kiddie pool also. In the morning if it is nice you can have you beakfast out by the poolside. Very nice touch. I think from what we saw it was the most beautiful landscaped.
