Just returned from a quick trip to DL.
I don't know if I'll be able to write a full trip report, but here are the basics.
DS (2 1/2) and I are visiting my father and his wife in San Diego. We took a side trip to DL 4/15 - 4/17. Spent two nights in the Disneyland Hotel, using DVC points. We thought the hotel was very nice. Stayed in the Marina building with a parking lot view, but as we spent minimal time in the hotel, that was fine. Pool looked great, but it was too cold to swim.
Wandered through Downtown Disney the first night. Had dinner at Goofy's kitchen. We got to meet Goofy, Minnie, Genie, Cruella and Belle. Food was typical buffet, but I thought it was much better than Chef Mickeys at WDW. The restaurant was much quieter.
Up very early the next morning to hit DL. Crowds were horrible. Spent some time in Fantasyland. Also hit a couple of attractions using fastpass. Rode Indy using the single rider pass. Had lunch at Blue Bayou. Left the park for a brief rest. Returned again in time for the parade and fireworks.
Used the monorail a couple of times, but found it was much faster just to walk.
