Hi All,

Arrived back and still trying to adjust back onto our time. Had a fabulous trip 1 night at AOA little mermaid room which was a surprise and 14 nights at OKW in a 1 bed.

We had the DDP and ate at:
Chef Mickey (B)
Rainforest (D)

Coral Reef (D)
Be Our Guest (L & D)
Cape May Cafe (B)
Crystal Palace (B)
Raglan Road x2 (D)
Ohana (D)

Food was generally really good and enjoyable.

We have had the dining plan free in the past as well and love using it, it takes away the guilt for me of not ordering the cheapest menu item.

For BOG we used a FP+ and it was a really good system, if your onsite and plan on eating there use it if you can. Although as we had already eaten there for dinner we found the atmosphere very different at lunch.

We used FP+ and the magic bands through out the trip and I really liked it. To be able to walk into HS at 11 and go straight onto Toy Story was really good. We never used our 3rd FP but we have never been very big users of the system in the past. If your looking for the parade and firework FP we found they were booked most days when looking a night or 2 before. I had decorated a few family members bands when we arrived and we received a lot of attention from cast memebers, I did especially at meet and greets if you dont always know what to say to a character and their on your band it can be a great conversation starter.

Met Ana and Else and that was great managed to get a FP the morning of, but I did book just me. Also managed to get a few for the mine train but had single ones again. It luckily went down during the time and allowed my brother to ride with me later during my time slot. If its important for you to ride look for the single passes, we saw them there quite a few times.

OKW was great, longest wait for a bus was 15 mins which wasnt bad.

Went to the Villans Party but left early, managed to wait in line for 2 characters before leaving, wasnt willing to stay till the fireworks. The party would have been great if less people had been there. I went to Guest Services on my next visit and got a refund and they have since sent me survey about they party. I hope they do it again and learn just not to have too many people.

Wow that sounds like an amazing trip, how did you find OKW??

I have stayed at OKW many times as I am a DVC member and it is 'good value' for points.
This was the first year I found it a little tired round the edges (room locks not working, dishwasher parts missing). But the location is great for getting offsite to restaurants, we used to eat onsite a lot more but now my boys are adults and prices have increased I just don't find it value for money. We did BOG for lunch and found it odd and annoying that food was brought to the table but not cutlery or drinks! When I commented on this I was given a curt 'it's counter service' - the food was lovely but I won't be returning

This was my first time at WL villas and I just loved it- the quiet pool nearby, boat to MK and the villas interior lobby was beautiful with loads of nooks and crannys. The rooms were nice if a little odd in layout.

I have read so many people getting refunds from the Villains Party - just hope Disney learn if they decide to do it again.
