We just returned from our trip to Europe, which included 3 days in Paris... One of them being spent at DLP. I have to say I was a little weary based on some comments I was seeing on this board. I grew up 20 min away from Disneyland in Anaheim and had an AP for most of my teen years, and I've been to WDW 3 times, so I had a lot to compare it to. I was not letting myself get too excited bc based on what I read, here's what I expected: smoking everywhere, big crowds, people shoving, CM being not-so-helpful, long lines, trash, rides not operating.

Here's what I found:
1. There were smokers, but few and far between. I didn't see the first til we had been in the park for an hour.
2. The crowds were big in small passageways, but other than that I never felt the park was overly crowded. We avoided peak meal times in restaurants. We did the shops around 9PM, and they were a little crowded, but not unlike the other Disney parks.
3. There were the random rude people but I was never pushed or shoved.
4. We rarely needed a CM, but when we approached them on rides or in restaurants and shops they were helpful. The only negative I have to say is in one shop the guy tried to push me to buy a beach towel cause it was a great deal. I had to say no several times.
5. Lines were very manageable! We never even needed a fast pass! We did everything we wanted to do, and I think the only time we waited more than 30 min was for Buzz Lightyear. (A side note to that: this was our worst line experience, but only bc a mother let her 2 boys, prob 6 and 8, get in line by themselves. They were rough housing with each other the whole time running into us behind them as we'll as the group in front of them.)
6. The park, bathrooms, restaurants, etc were all very clean!
7. Every ride we wanted to do was open and running well. Indiana Jones was closed at first bc there had been a thunderstorm earlier, but it opened pretty quickly.

This was a great trip, and for any Disney fan going to be in Paris, a must do. We did both parks in one day. Got there a little after 10 and left a little after 9. I really wanted to stay for Dreams, but we were exhausted and still had over an hour to get back into Paris. Plus we had done everything we wanted to do and didn't feel like hanging around waiting for 2 hours. I would have done it, but my fiancé was being a trooper just by going to DLP in the first place and I didn't have the heart to make the day last longer! We spent most of our time at DL, but went to the studios for ToT and the Animagique and Cinemagique shows.

Overall I'd say the park is very similar to Disneyland in California, with the size and atmosphere. It was a great trip!

I'm really glad you enjoyed your taster of DLP :goodvibes.

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. I agree that DLP is more comparable to Disneyland, they are both have lots of things in common with one another that WDW does not have. Glad to hear the crowds are manageable too.

I'm pleased you enjoyed your day at DLP, thanks for sharing your experiences:goodvibes

So nice to hear that you had such a good time. Bet you are glad you did decide to visit DLP after all now. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip too.

Great to hear you had a positive experience :)

P.S. My brother-in-law and his family live in Bristow!

Sounds like you had a fab trip. Great to see a positive report :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great trip, what was your favourite ride/land? K

I loved Buzz Lightyear!! But also loved the classics like BTR, PM, and POTC. I can't pick! As far as things unique to Paris, I LOVED Animagique. I thought it was kind of like a live version of Philharmagic at WDW, and it was great!
