At SSR we stayed in the Paddock area. I always have requested Congress Park in the past but we were travelling with 4 children, 6,5,4 and 2 so we thought being near the new pool would be great and it was! We were in the building to the left of the pool, 4th floor which was my request. Our 2 bdrm looked out over the water toward the fountain and the bridge to the Springs area, beyond that we could see Cirque, the tower at HOB. The 1 bdrm was right around the corner and the view was of the gardens. We loved the Paddock and the children swam everyday even though it was cool. I would certainly stay in that area again. We were close to the bus stop as well. They had not redone our room yet but it was in pretty good shape. There was some chipped paint around the baseboards. We Love SSR more each time we go!
We really enjoyed BLT. We had a lv studio on the 15th floor. We had a very nice view of the lake and were near the elevator. I loved bopping over to the Contemporary on the 5th floor skybridge. Easy peasy! This was our first time staying at a monorail resort and I loved this option. We enjoyed the food choices at the Contempo Cafe and the BLT pool bar. We did watch the MK Christmas fireworks from the Lounge at the Top. Had a nice Pomegrante Margarita and DH had a Mai Tai. We didn't get much pool time as it was cool but we enjoyed the time we had. We played Bocce one day and that was fun. Now for what I wasn't as thrilled about. My DH felt like we were in Hitchcock's "Rear Window" You could see right into other people's units. They really need to put up shears because whenever we were in the room we kept the drapes closed. While we enjoyed BLT and it's many amenities and I am sure we will return again it will not be my first choice which came as a surprise to me.
