We returned last night from 4 days at Vero and 3 at BWV. We had a great time. Vero is a very beautiful resort. We spent our time going from the pool to the ocean and back again. The kids loved the slide (so did the parents)!
We then drove to DW. We left Vero at 6:15 and made it to Animal Kingdom by 8:30. We had a studio at BWV that was a long, long, long walk from the elevators. We used the stairs most of the time. I think we were actually closer to Tower of Terror than the front desk. If anyone has any questions, fire away.

We will be going to WDW in late Oct. and we are thinking about staying at BWV studio. How was it? How big are they and how big are the refrigs in them? Do you have children? We have a 4 yr old. Would this resort have enough for her to do? We are also thinking about OKW also. So what do you think would BWV be good or would OKW be better? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The studios are not huge, but they seem bigger than they are because instead of two beds, there is one bed and one couch that makes into a bed. Having said that, they are bigger than the moderate priced rooms, ala PO CB and such.

The fridge is fairly small, under the counter.

OKW rooms are bigger, with two beds.

OKW is more laid back. BWV has the boardwalk, and alot more activities, particularly at night. Both have pools. So, it depends on what you are wanting. Both are great.

Ginger,

The studios are a little bigger than a normal hotel room. The frig is an under the counter and there is a microwave. You can ask for a toaster also. I believe that BWV is better for kids who are active. My daughter (5 yr old) was dancing on the Boardwalk outside of Atlantic Dance until 9:45 on Fri night. There are 2 pools - 1 with the slide and a "quiet pool". Walking around the Boardwalk with its games, shops and restaurants is very entertaining. I found OKW to be too spread out for kids. It is a long walk to the main building from some rooms which means you need to drive to buy a newspaper or an ice cream. At OKW, you are depending on the buses to go everywhere. At BWV, you can walk to Epcot and MGM. The BWV vs OKW question generates a lot of debate on this board, but I pick BWV - just my opinion.

hi: another vote for bwv with another "option" added- pool hopping over to stormalong bay. some of the areas are quite shallow and the sand bottom sure is neat. my kids are in their teens and twenties and prefer the bwv. there does seem to be a fair amount for the little ones to do as well.

My 5 year old daughter enjoys the activity on the Boardwalk. My wife and i think it is easier to keep the kids entertained just by walking around.

I agree BWV is good for little ones. Our daughter is 3 1/2. One night we got a babysitter, and she was able to take our daughter out to the boardwalk. Much nicer for her than just sitting in the room. Walking to Epcot was very convenient (and faster than the boat) and the boat to MGM was a nice ride.

Tom
