We got back from Disney late Thurs nite. Had a great time. Took 1000+ photos. I learned when I got home that the camera was on spot metering the entire time! I never use spot- I don't know how I did that! It didn't seem to hurt, luckily! Thought I'd share a few. I don't typically mess with photoshopping so these are straight from the camera. I forgot a few times to put the ISO back down quite a few times I can't be trusted to change anything and put it back!

I am the same way. Plenty of disappointments caused by forgotten camera settings. I have learned that it is a good idea to occasionally check, like when you are standing in line not doing anything else. Just go through the camera settings even though you have no reason to expect that they are unusual. This has saved my butt numerous times. One killer for me is accidentally turning off auto-focus on the lens. By the time I figure out what's going on, I have missed some good shots. Now I check that switch quite often as a habit. For forgetful folk like me, it is a good habit to develop.
