I will give you all the details later when I have time. We went to US/IOA on 11/19, 11/21, 11/22. We had a great time, lines were under a 20 minute wait. The only comment I can make right now is that it is not fair to compare US/IOA and WDW. They are 2 separate adventures. Both have their ups and downs. Both are great parks to visit!!

We really enjoyed our visit last week. The parks are beautiful. The tip to be at the parking garage by 8:30 was the greatest tip ever. We were able to walk right on all the rides or have maybe a 15 minute wait. The only problems we had was when I decided to get on rides.........Spiderman decided to take a long dinner break after I stood in line 15 minutes on Wednesday. They told us they did not know when it would be up and going so we left. The kids did this earlier in the week and said it was great. Suesus train ride needed another train so we waited again. MIB stopped just as we were loaded and the next car to go in. Once in we couldn't shoot or spin so they took us back through the child swap line to ride again. Posidion broke down and they told us to leave and we were let through the express line later in the day. My kids loved the water tunnel part.

I found all the employees to be nice and helpful. I showed my AAA card everywhere and we saved about $150.00 in the 3 days we spent there. Everyone enjoyed the meals we ate.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. Thanks for the tip about showing the AAA card. We'll have to remember that when we go in January. What are some of the places you saved at using the AAA card?

vacation dreamer, thanks for posting about the trip.

yes, all places take the AAA.
some of the carts do not though.

you get 15% off at some places, 10% at other.

sometimes you will see the AAA emblem in the store window

it is good at all the stores and food places in the park and valid at city walk.

if you don't have AAA, they will honor with discounts if you have the universal master card.

always show your card, if they don't take it, they will tell you.

when i first started going to universal, i would show my magic orlando card and get 10% at some of the places. then i received the UO mastercard and used that for 10% discounts in the parks and at city walk.

then i got the AAA card and used that everywhere and for the hotel discounts.

then i bought the PAP and got even better deals on the hotels for the discount.

there are many cards that UO honors.
the magic orlando card is free to everyone.
AAA for chicagoland costs me $49 a year membership. i use it on many other things also. when i order merch on line, 20% discount for some stores. i use it for hotels when i travel in the midwest....again, a good discount. my AAA card has paid for itself many times over.

PAP, what can i say, even better deals but the AAA is most practical for everyday discounts. even target.com gives discounts for AAA members.
