I just got back from a short trip.

We were there Tues-Fri. We stayed at POP with the dining plan.

We loved the Magic Bands! We had no trouble with them or with the fastpass+. I was skeptical but I loved it!

We visited Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

We also went to the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on Thursday.

If anybody has any questions... Ask away!! We had a great time!!

It's the golden age of FP+! As long as you are on site I guess.

I think it is a general consensus, everybody loves the magicbands. Great Wolf Lodge paved the way there. My family and friends love love love their magicbands. Disney hit a homerun on that one.

I could be remembering wrong, but didn't you have trouble getting ADRs?
Where did you end up eating, and how bad was it finding places last minute?

Yes DisneyNutMary. I was irritated because I felt like it was hard to do a last minute trip. Certain places were out of the question for us because of certain reasons, but it ended up being fine.

We ate at Chef Mickeys. I had never been here before, It was out the way for us the night we ate there but it was nice. Food was good, Characters were not. We only met Donald and Goofy within an hour. The kids at the table next to us were very sad, and mentioned it to the waiter. He said well they will make there way back around, but they were on the other side of the restaurant. It would have taken a half an hour. So that was a bummer.

We also ate at Liberty Tree Tavern at 2:00. It was a weird time, but it ended up working out well for us. This was literally the only sit down ressie I could make for Magic Kingdom that day. People thought I was being dramatic, but literally I tried every day and NOTHING would show up. Not even 1 place. So I kept trying and the week before I scored this. I had eaten dinner their before, but never lunch. It was pretty good.

And we also ate at Coral Reef. I have ate their before, so I knew I would like it. It was for 8:40, which was a late dinner. But hey it worked!

We also had QS at Wolfgang puck Express, Electric Umbrella and Flame Tree Barbeque.

In the end we were happy with where we ate. It made us have to change some plans around but it worked!!

I'm so glad it worked out for you. All that matters in the end is that you enjoyed your trip.
Your troubles with ADRs were what is keeping my from upgrading from QSDP to DDP for my sons Christmas present trip in Jan, I'm worried he'll have trouble with ADRs.

January is a slow time of the year. You might be surprised at how many openings there are. We went the first week of February last year and had no trouble getting the reservations we wanted.
