Just back yesterday! Lots to talk about!(sorry for the delay!!)

One restaurant I read about here a lot is Spoodle's. We went to Spoodle's last Saturday and really enjoyed our meals. Even the picky teens were happy! We ordered appetizers of calamari, hummus with garlic toasted pita chips and the four cheese flat bread.YUM!! Oh, and don't let me forget to mention the awesome bread served with a dipping sauce made of finely chopped olives, garlic, onion, and olive oil.I was hoping the teens wouldn't like this(more for us!),but they loved it! Teens!
2 of us ordered the lemon garlic shrimp over linguini(wicked good!)2 kids ordered another flatbread pizza, each.(these two,are the pickiest eaters I've ever seen! The 13 yr old ate grilled cheese just about every meal!) The oldest teen ordered the Rigatoni and sausage with a red sauce(I had a taste, awesome!)
And my BIL's wife ordered a chicken cutlet, butterflied, breaded, and sauted with a healthy serving of some chopped tomato with herbs, cheese, seasoned olive oil. Wow,it was really good!
We also ordered 3 deserts to share because we were so stuffed;
Baklava(loved it!),chocolate cake with hazelnut and fudgie frosting-very good! The third I can't remember.I'm sure it wasn't chocolate.LOL
We really like Spoodle's and will go again next trip. If you
like Mediterranean food,you'll enjoy Spoodle's! A+

Thanks for the reviews. I really like Boma and Spoodles so I'm pleased you enjoyed them too.

Cape May Cafe clambake buffet(at the Beach Clu) is another place I read tons of reviews on. A lot of the reviews were not good, but I wanted to see for myself. I'm happy we went because it was very, very good! The service(our server was Amine,he was awesome!!)was great. No wait and we got to all sit together. When I made all my reservations back in January,I was told at quite a few places, that we would probably not get to sit together because we were a large crowd. Now,that surprised me because there are plenty of restaurants I go to at home that have tables to accommodate 8 people. I would think that Disney
would not have a problem with that group size. And,actually,we never were split up into 2 groups.
We're from Massachusetts (and we all live within a mile of the coast)so,we have access to very fresh seafood. So,I didn't know if this place would live up to our expectations. Well,I'm happy to say it did! The fish eaters of the group loved the clams or mussels(I am not a fan)!
The prime rib was awesome! I certainly had my fill along with great mashed potatoes and green beans. They also had beef stew(very good!),corn on the cob(kids ate lots of this)all kinds of salad(GREAT Ceasar salad and a citrus salad that was really good!)I saw one of the kids eating a turkey dinner with all the fixings, looked good but I was all about Prime rib that night.
I thought the variety was very good and the only thing I didn't care too much for is the Turkey, it was a bit dry alone but fine with the gravy.
The deserts were pretty good. I really didn't ear too much of this course because I was full of Prime Rib!! There were some
little creations made with Oreo cookies that were to die for!
Also ,apple crisp, cookies and brownies. We all really liked this place so don't be afraid to try it! I give it an A+

I probably would never opt to go to this restaurant because there's one here at home, but I wanted to please the youngest members of our family too.
We were seated right away for our 5:30pm reservation and had a very friendly waiter who was very happy to hear we weren't on any dining plan(did I mention that ALL of waitstaff of the restaurants we went to were happy to hear this. why??? Whatsup with the dining plans??)
We ordered a few appies(kids wanted cheese sticks and nachos)nothing special. They were good but these items are not anything to rave about. But again, this restaurant choice was for the younguns in the family. They loved the appies!
Dinner for the adults;penne pasta with chicken in a garlic sauce, very good! Surf & Turf dish, very good! A big Ceasar Salad, very good! a pasta dish with shrimp and garlic sauce, very good! 2 teens ordered cheeseburgers with fries, the 2 younger kids ordered Mac&cheese and a grilled cheese. No deserts for us because we were going to get ice cream!
The food was good but I think the RFC at home has a much better menu offering many more choices. The restaurant was freezing. It was so cold a few of us put on a poncho to hold the heat in!!
The kids loved the atmosphere and were glad we picked this restaurant. My next trip(w/o kids)I probably won't return. There are way too many better places for the same price. But,if you have kids,go! They will love the place! Don't forget your long underwear and mittens!! ;^) B

Great reviews. Thanks for taking the time to post.

Hey, thanks! I just got back from vacation July 7th and I know how much I enjoyed coming to the DIS and learning all about different places to eat at Disney. Are you planning a trip?
I think reviews are a great way to get information about restaurants we may want to visit. But keep in mind you're going on vacation! Be a little adventurous and try something new!

Good point, I have read good and bad. We actually do not like seafood, but were pulled in by all of the other choices including the corn on the cob and the prime rib.

We are looking forward to this one as it will be our first time, thanks for posting;)

Glad to hear you liked Cape May, especially being from MA. That's actually one of the reasons we didn't go on our last trip, because we didn't think it would live up to the local seafood. But we're hoping on our next trip (a few years down the road) that we'll be staying at the Beach Club, so Cape May will probably be on our list.

I too am glad that you gave the Cape May Clambake a good review. After many mixed reviews I decided to go ahead and book it and see for myself. I grew up in Boston so I didn't want to be disappointed but now I look forward to going there in a few months.

We got there and were seated right at 5:30pm. We had the same waiter that we had 4 years ago!! His name is Arturo and he is a great waiter. We never had to look for him,he was very attentive.
Everything was awesome, except the Turkey tips. I find them to be dry no matter where I have them. We all loved the chicken wings as well as the new noodles(looks like Lo mein) they're serving. The steak and shrimp were really tasty. Our salad bowl was never empty, thanks to Arturo! Even the teens liked it here.
Ohana will always be a place we visit when we go to WDW. I know there have been a quite a few people not happy with changes they have made to the menu, but don't let that sway you into changing your plans about going to this restaurant! Its very good!! Desert was AWESOME too!!! Bread pudding with icecream and carmel sauce! WOW!!!!! A+

We stayed at the Dolphin(we absolutely love this hotel!) and even though we had reservations elsewhere for breakfast,I always ended up cancelling the ohther places so we could go to Fresh right in the hotel. There are a few reasons for that; 1.) close by 2.) they start serving early,7:30am 3)the buffet is awesome!
We start off breakfast with fresly sqeezed OJ. Can't get better that that!
Starbuck's coffe. Then off to the chef's counter to order pancakes, waffles, eggs(any way you want them),omelettes. There's bacon, sausages, homefries, fruit(AWESOME!) all different kinds of pastries(yum...)my all time fave hasto be the pecan rolls.OMG!!!!! The cinnamon and sugar glaze just oozing with every bite!!! I want a few right now!!!
This breakfast will keep us full (with the addition of an ice cream or junk food we want in a park!)until dinner. If you're staying at the Swan or Dolphin or someplace close,I encourage you to go to Fresh Mediterranean. You won't be sorry! A+

We love to go here when ever we go to DTD to shop. We have always liked the food here and this day was no exception. We both ordered the pesto chicken on Chiabatto bread(have no idea how to spell this...)
WAY GOOD!!!!It came with these awesome parmasan cheese potato chips.
We were stuffed! we saw a lot of good things to eat here! TRY IT! A+
