As this was our first trip, my husband was not on board with me taking pics of food but here are some quick reviews.

Before I start this let me just say we went to goofy's candy company twice for rice krispie mickey's. That might be the best thing I've ever tasted. That will be a staple for us for now on.

Sunshine Seasons-we both had the half rot chicken, I had key lime pie, and he had the asian chocolate cake. It was all very good. Asian choc cake was interesting. Kids had chicken leg and it seemed good also. Very good food for CS meal. Key lime pie was okay. Had a weird consistency but I was too full for it anyway. We would definently go back here again.

Akershus dinner-I was looking forward to it but the food wasn't all that great. In their defense I was having tummy trouble and not much of an appetite. Having said that about my low appetite I still noticed how incredibly small the portions were. We ordered the traditional "whatever" that was like meatloaf but honestly not that great. One daughter got pizza and the other hot dog. It was a $19 hotdog. That was the joke of our trip. The pizza was the tiniest sad little thing but my daughter liked it so we didn't make fun of it in front of her. :rotfl: The princesses were great but in comparison to our other meals it was a little tame and boring.

Le Cellier-I know it was good but I ended up getting so sick afterwards that I never want to speak of that place again. This had nothing to do with the quality. My husband loved it and at the time I did also. Le Cellier is not to blame for my sickness because I was not completely right going in but I probably won't go back there again for that reason. Great service though. If I did venture back in I would probably get the filet over the prime rib though.

Crystal Palace breakfast-This was sooooooo good. Still not 100% from the night before so I stuck with carbs, carbs, and more carbs. The poohs french toast was so good that I filled up mostly on that. Everybody was very happy with our food and the service and characters were great. We wanted to go back again our last morning but there were no openings. I will eat at this place at least once per trip for breakfast.

Figaro Fries for snack-Yum, yum, yum. Large enough for 4 to share. I'm sure it would have been better like they used to be.

Kona (lunch)-we took a long break here from the MK one day and we loved it. The service was great. DH and I both had the Island chicken sandwich and potato chips and they were great. By now I was well and my appetite really caught up to me so I ate every single bite. I can't remember what the kids got but they loved it. DH and I shared the chocolate brownie lava thingy and the kiki tart and loved both but the chocolate thing was the best. Sorry I can't remember technical names at this point.

Boma (breakfast buffet)-really good but I still liked crystal palace better. Maybe it is because I love, love, love the sweet carby things for breakfast and CP seemed to specialize in that where as boma was more meaty and protein type things. It did not stop me from filling up though. The juice was fantastic and I say this even though I usually don't like juice much.

Toy story pizza planet (dinner)-better than expected. The pizzas were all pretty good and we liked that it came with a little side salad for adults. we also liked that we got mickey rice krispie treats for dessert.

Backlot Express (lunch). Would I eat here again? Yes, but I certainly would not go out of my way for it. DH got the grilled turkey and it was okay and I got the double cheeseburger and I'm ashamed to admit that i ate every bite even though I fully intended to get rid of one of the pcs of meat. I kept telling myself I was making up for the first few days but it got worse and worse as the week went on. We each got the marble cheesecake and ate every bite also.

1900s park fare (dinner)-It was pretty good. The desserts were awesome. I found from this point on I really ate very little dinner and completely pigged out on desserts. The characters were fabulous and true to everyone's word it was loud as all get out in there. It was a great experience though and we would go back. Might go for breakfast next time to meet alice and mad hatter.

Flame Tree BBQ (lunch) We liked it. DH and I both got pulled pork sandwich, I ordered extra onion rings (yum) and he got the frozen lemonade and I got key lime pie. The kids each had the drumstick meal and it came with two each and it was good and they really enjoyed it. We walked way to the back by the lake overlooking everest. It was peaceful and quiet.

Chef Mickey's (dinner)-We LOVED this dinner. I don't know if it was because it was our last night or because of the characters or food but we were very happy. The salad fixings were really good. I had mostly the baked lime chicken and a little bit of pasta and I actually had a little of the mickey macaroni also. The kids ate a little of everything from the kids buffet but they were way excited about the characters. By this time my youngest actually got up enough nerve to give the characters a high five. AFTER 7 DAYS OF MEETING CHARACTERS...:woohoo: The service was great. We were not rushed and ended up meeting some characters twice. The dessert bar was fabulous as well.

Wolfgang puck express (breakfast) this was a great use of our last CS credits. DH got denver omelet and loved it. One DD and I got the cornflake french toast. Sinfully yummy and the other DD got the waffle. They do not skimp there.

All in all the must do's for our next trip are Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, goofy's candy company. I doubt we will go back to Akershus, and we might do Le Cellier (in many years to come when I forget about how sick I was... Again, totally not their fault).

Hopefully this helps somebody.

Thanks for the reviews. Sorry to hear you were sick on your vacation. Hope you're all better now.

Glad to see a review of WP for breakfast. That is my favorite CS at disney but I was never there for breakfast. :goodvibes

Wow, that is one heck of a stomach bug going around WDW. We were there last week and DD had it bad, I had a touch & DH just got strep instead. My brother told me he had a friend down there last week whose 2 kids had the stomach thing all week :scared1: Hope you're feeling better now :goodvibes

I understand & agree with Akershus. We went in June and DS who is 11(therefore a Disney Adult) had the pizza, a $36.00 pizza!!!! :scared: We thought the rest of the food was good, but not for the price.

I didn't realize you could get breakfast at Wolfgang Puck express, I'll have to look into that next time. Thanks for the reviews, I love learning about new things :goodvibes

Thanks so much for your review. Looks like we ate at a lot of the same places.

Sunshine Seasons was our absolute favourite CS restaurant. We liked it so much that we made a second trip there. What did your DH think of the Asian chocolate cake? I thought it was pretty amazing.

Ouch on the $19 hot dog at Akershus!

I'm sorry to hear you were so sick, especially after eating at Le Cellier. I've never been. What did you have to eat there?

Figaro Fries are on our snack list for January. They sound yummy. Here in Canada we eat a lot of poutine, which is fries covered in cheese curd and gravy. There are lots of variations of it too. So, these fries seem like something we would quite enjoy. I'm pleased to hear that the serving is large as DH and I plan to share them.

We took a break at Kona Cafe for lunch on one of our MK days too. It was such a nice thing to do. Was the dessert that you enjoyed called something like the kileaua torte? I believe that's what DH had and he really enjoyed it.

We loved Boma but we didn't have breakfast there. Seems more like a dinner place to me.

We are having brunch at 1900 Park Fare, mainly because DH absolutely loves the Alice characters! I'm a big fan of Mary Poppins so it all works out. Too bad it's so loud.

I too had the pulled park at the Flame Tree BBQ. Isn't that a nice CS restaurant? Next to SS, it was our favourite. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the seating area too. So nice to be outdoors.

And thanks for the recommendation for Goofy's Candy Co. We'll definitely have to pay more attention to it this time. We just sort of walked through and I don't think I realized at the time that you could create your own snacks. We'll try to do that in January.
