Just back from 1 week at the World.
Notable Dining- Good:
American Adventure in Epcot- Some kind of Apple Puff Pastry- Delish!:goodvibes
Liberty Tree Tavern for LUNCH- YUM!:goodvibes

Notable Dining- Awful:
Roarin Forks at WL- GROSS Cafeteria Food:headache:
Sunshine Seasons- Spent so much time at the counter while the CM rang up our DDP allotments- THE FOOD WAS COLD by the time we sat down. Arrgh.
(This happened a number of times at WDW)
Mama Melrose- Downhill. Steaks- thin and not tender.:sad2:
The waitress was like the DDP Gestapo- Checked everyones name against their cards and quizzed the kids on their ages. ( not that we were breaking the rules- but seriously- treating us like DDP criminals before we even order?)
Whispering Canyon Cafe- again with the thin chewy steaks.:sad2:

Oh my.....

I have never had a waitress check our IDs. Usually just my husband carries the room card because we all have APs and he is in charge of the room key and ddp purchases. I don't really see how they could do that, so many people don't have their room keys. Sorry for your tough time.

Wow sorry to hear you had such a time.

Have never had the experiences you described.

Not to mention never had a bad steak at WCC. Infact that is my favorite place to have a ribeye at WDW. Mine is always so tender you can cut it with the fork, and flavorful....wow.

Again sorry you had a bad time, but I don't think that is the norm.

The steak at Brown Derby & flying Fish were incredible. SO good. My DH liked his steak at Le Cellier (mushroom filet) but thought his one at brown derby was much better.
I don't think the dining plan ruined the meals at wdw personally (we were just there last week & in April). But I didn't get steak anywhere else. I think the cuts are due to the rise in prices everywhere.

We ate at MM and didnt get quized by our waiter. Our waiter even let my DH order the app for 2 (as his app) and let me still order my own.
