We just got back last night from a quick two day trip. For anyone who has booked with the 35% discount shopping code, it is good at any Disney owned store. We were at Magic kingdom and Epcot and it was good at every store we went to there. At Downtown Disney it was good at most stores, except the ones not owned by Disney - Lego, Arribas Bros., Basin; etc. Even though it wasn't good at the Arribas Bros. store, we were still able to get a 35% discount on their products because the Art of Disney Store had some of their items. So we ended up getting a nice Mickey Mouse Arribas Bros. piece, just by going next door. The code was good on everything in the Art of Disney Store, World of Disney, their Christmas Store; etc.

When you check in there will be a discount code printed on your hotel key card. Just show the cashier the discount code that is printed on it. Some cashiers also asked to see my Florida driver's license, some wanted to see my annual pass, and others didn't ask for any extra form of i.d. So there really isn't any consistency with how they check that.

It was a great deal. I got a lot of Holiday shopping done.

What is this offer? We leave Friday and I haven't heard about that.

Thanks, Vicki

It was a pin code offer sent to AP holders and Fl residents. This promotion had to be booked prior to arrival.

OP, thanks for much for posting. I would've love to do this deal had it been available to us. We came home on 10/31. I would've stayed longer and booked one night, but was concerned where the discounts were allowed. Do you know if you could use it on WDCC items at the collectible store. If they offer it again, I would consider doing it--if I receive the pin offer, of course.

Yes, it was good on the WDCC pieces, as well as the Goebel Disney pieces, Armani sculptures; and any of the paintings or artwork. Every item in the Art of Disney Store was available for this offer. Nothing in the store was excluded.

Thanks for posting back. I did get the original email with pin and was staring at it today trying to figure out how to get back for the second part of this promotion. I would spend so much money esp. since you confirmed my worse fear....discounts off of WDCC!! I rarely spend anything now at WDW since hubby stopped being a CM in August 2005. It's hard to go back after being at the 35% discount for so many years!! I wish they would do this again!!

bouncing back up in case there are others who recently returned and want to add more reasons why I should book this offer....:lmao:

Anyone else do this promotion? We booked it for next week.

I'm booked for next week, too. Sounds like I may spend more time shopping then I had originally planned if the discount is good in a lot of places. Thanks for the info.

Another bump up. We leave on Thursday for a 2 day shopping trip. Hope it isn't a hassle getting the discount.

I got that email too, but from what I read, it was only good for a couple of dates in mid november. Was it good for other dates too? I am heading down December 11-15th...

It was good for your entire stay as long as you checkin when it was being offered. The last day is 11/22, you would need to check in by then.

Just returned from a 3 day shopping trip and had a ball buying myself lots of Christmas gifts. As others have mentioned it was indeed good for everything and all places owned by Disney. I bought several WDCC pieces, lenox, Jim Shore, and precious moments. Plus many other gifts. Most CMs knew about the promotion, esp those that worked in DTD and the collectible stores. Resort CMs had to be convinced that this promotion did indeed exist, but were glad to learn about it. This would be a great yearly experience and I plan to write to let them know how much we enjoyed this opportunity.

Just got back yesterday - this was an awesome discount! I hope they do more things like this in the future!

We too had the discount and it was a great deal. We did run into a few CMs that were not aware of the discount code but otherwise it was fantastic.

I was there 11/19. I got a private ride to Downtown Disney from All Star Music. The bus arrived at 8:15 am and I got to World of Disney at about 8:45. The doors were locked, but a CM let me in and asked to see my AP. She also asked about the room-stay discount. It was wonderful shopping there. I was one of maybe 10 people in the whole store (not counting the CM's). I shopped for about 45 minutes.

At the counter, the CM that had let me in was talking to me. She was surprised that I made the trip just for that discount. I saved almost enough to cover the cost of the room for the night.

We arrived on 11/20, so missed the AP holder's shopping at the WOD. I saved enough to cover both my husband's and myself's airfare and room for 2 nights and more. Needless to say, I spent alot and found myself at the collectible stores most of the time. In addition to shopping I got a wonderful long 3 day weekend in the sun vs cold and gloomy at home. I just finished writing a letter to the passholder office to tell them how much we enjoyed this promotion and hope they offer it again.
