They were great! We met them at 8:45 on the pier, and by 9:00 we were off! We took their boat out to Stingray City where we played with the rays for about an hour. After that, they brought us to Coral Gardens for some beautiful snorkeling! We were there for about an hour too. We got back to the pier around noon! Total cost $25 per person, and well worth it! I would definitely recommend them, and we'll use them again ourselves!

Rhonda, welcome back! Sounds like you had a good time. One question regarding Nativeway....do they have water or beverages on board or coolers for you to store your own drinks?

They have jugs of water and fruit punch with glasses in a big cooler. :D

Thanks for the info, Rhonda. I've been researching this excursion and there are so many carriers and choices out there, it gets a bit overwhelming! This will help me narrow the field. Thanks again.

I have Nativeway booked for when we are in Grand Cayman for our May 24th cruise. How many people were on the boat that you were on? How was the water, was it fairly calm or was it rough? Did you have to wade (or swim)very far to the sandbar for the stingrays? Is the water really clear so that when you walk you don't step on the stingrays? How easy or hard was it to get out of the boat? Sorry for all the questions but I would like to know what to expect.

Used Nativeway last Oct.-
The boat pulls right up to the sandbar, this is about a 35 minute ride from the dock.
The water was just over my waist (I'm 5'7''), but swells that day easily brought the water to chest level and higher.
The water is warm and unbelievably CLEAR! The stingrays head for new groups of people after you arrive- they know they are getting fed:)
The sand is very soft, but the swells can make it a little hard to maintain your footing, and they do tell you not to step on them.
The rays brush against you like a cat. They feel like velvet, although the first time I literally jumped on the man next to me-not my husband. I introduced myself from up over his head, he was really a good sport about wearing me as a hat for a few seconds:D
After that, it was easy to touch and pet these guys, I even held a couple. You also feed them squid by holding your palm out very flat and letting them kind of suck it off-very different sensation.
This was one of the highlights of our cruise, Nativeway was FABULOUS and a great bargain at $25/pp.
