Just back used Kids Nite Out all week my report

Hi, Just got back from WDW and used Kids Nite Out Babysitting service and thought I'd share my experiences in case anyone is thinking about using them. I was at a work conference at CSR that ran 7:30am - 1pm Monday through Friday. Husband couldn't come and I hated to leave my kids (DD 7 and DS3) home all week since I was finished at 1pm each day. So I booked Kids Nite Out to watch them in the mornings Overall I was very happy with them and felt good leaving my kids with the sitter each day. On Monday and Friday we had a delightful college student named Lindsey. She was prompt both days and came with a bag of toys with board games and coloring books. I could tell she really played with the kids and enjoyed them. They loved her and were not happy to see her leave. We had an older lady come Tuesday and Wednesday. She was fine, nothing great, nothing bad. She did not bring anything with her to play with. She was prompt. I felt the kids were safe and she looked after the but they were not sad to see her go. On Thursday another great girl came, also prompt. Her name was Whitney and like Lindsey, she brought toys and played with them. They really liked her. When I made the reservation I said if they could work it out I would like the same person each day so the kids would be used to the person. That did not work with people's schedules but looking back worked out fine to have a mix of people. If it had been Lindsey or Whitney all week would have been great, but the other lady we were glad not to have all week. Again, she was fine, kids were safe, just did not seem as into playing with them as the other two were. I would not hesitate to used Kids Nite out in the future. I would see if I could get Lindsey again, she was great!

Do you mind sharing what the cost was for this service? Did they just stay in the room with the kids or did they go to the pool with them,etc?

The cost was $16.50 per hour for 2 kids. I think the more kids you have the higher the rate. Then there was a $10 transportation charge each date. They can stay in the room with the kids or take them around the resort. Whatever you'd like. I told my sitters it was fine to take them around the resort so they did. We were at CSR and they have a nice playground there so they went to the playground. I also left a little money each day for the arcade so they also went there. I told them fine to go to Pepper Market and eat but they never did. I had enough food in the room they wanted such as PBJs and fruit. They are not allowed to take them swimming, though. I asked if they were allowed to take them on Disney transportation to check them in to a Pirate Cruise at a different hotel and they said no. No swimming and they had to stay on the property.

Thank you so much for your review. Next trip (whenever that will be) DH and I would like to go out one evening by ourselves to PI to the Adventureers Club and dinner. I had not seen many reviews on in room sitting, so this was very helpful.

Every time we go we say we say wer're gonna get one night out alone...but then we always or should I say I always chicken out. I'm glad to hear you had a good experience. $16.50 an hour, is that the same rate in every resort?

It's an outside service that comes to the resort. They charge by the number of kids. I have 4 and it cost us $21.50 an hour regardless of which resort you're at.

We were very happy with them as well and plan to use them again on our next trip with the kids (this next trip is adults only)
