Just Back! USE TGMIKE!! It WORKS!

It's only $18.95 if you use the coupon at the top of the DISboard forum sites.

I'm so glad to hear that TGM worked! I signed up a few weeks ago and will be using it for our trip in May. Good to know it worked for you and am hoping it does for me as well!

It would be interesting to discover how many times the typical TGM user has visited WDW. We have been to WDW more than 20 times and sometimes feel we can write a book on various theme park strategies. I have talked to many who have said that TGM has much valuable information. I am sure it does to a person who has never been to WDW or who has only been a few times. However, how valuable is it to an experienced visitor? I am always looking for good tips and budgeting tools such as those we get first hand here at the DIS.

Would it be worth the 20 or so bucks to get TGM????

Thanks

Tim/Hawk

Well my husband said he felt it would have been worth $21.95 per park! I hope TGM doesn't change his rates, but I know I will use it next time. It take some getting used to manuvering around the site, but give it time and check the forums...they are a big help. In fact we did not plan to do MGM, so I did not print anything for there, but when our plan shifted, I was able to jot out a plan based on the principles I learned and lo and behold, when I got back it was very close to Mikes! Good Luck!

If you are planning a December trip, when would the best days to visit each park be up on TGM's site? Thanks :sunny:

They should be up at the start of June once Disney releases park hours :)

We also are using TGM for our fall trip. We are not rookies at WDW; however, I decided I spend money on updated touring books anyway every year so why not give TGM a chance.

So far, I am impressed. There is alot of information on his site and we will be doing our trip his way. I would definitely tell everyone to give it a try.

I have the same question, only we'll be going in mid-September. Would it be worth it when the lines and crowds are supposed to be minimal then anyway??? :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Thanks Scottish-Helen. I am hoping that info would be out before the time to make dining reservations. I know that going towards Christmas, I am going to have to go into major planning mode. :sunny:

my sons is confined to a wheelchair and it usually around 11 before we can get out (takes us a while to get all his medical needs sorted) do you think it would be a good idea to subscribe to TGM or is it for the more able bodied.

I think he would be a help. His plans are geared to getting to the park at opening but his ride info for every single attraction covers all the info you would need for a special needs rider. The people on the forums are also super helpful. I'm sure you would get some useful information from it.

We used TGM for the first time this Spring Break and thought it was money WELL spent. We have been to Disney many times, but never during the busy season. The tips were well worth the money. I highly recommend it!

My question is...I have 2 trips planned to WDW, one being next month (May) and the other being in September and so can I purchase TourGuideMike and enter(?) information regarding both trips and their dates under the same purchase???

Is TGM's touring plan similar to the one offered by the UG? I've already bought the UG and was planning on using it, but now after reading all these rave reviews, I'm wondering if I should spend the money and check out TGM too....I'm not asking for specific TGM info, just wondering whether or not it would be worth it when I already have one touring plan. Has anyone ever tried both? Which seemed more effective?

No. When you sign up it states that the subscription is good for one trip. He does give a really nice discount when you renew withing a certain amount of time. I think it's 25% but without looking, I wouldn't swear to it.

Thanks for the information. I am thinking about getting it but not sure which trip I would need it for. I think during May there would be more crowds to contend with and two children (ages 6 & 3) but then again in September we will be traveling with 2 mothers who are in their late 60's.... Hmm, what would you recommend. I have heard that September the crowds are very light and maybe we wouldn't have to worry so much and also our mothers are not going to be riding on alot of rides...any input would be appreicated!

TGM an the UG are similar in some respects, But totally different in most.

I think their touring philosophies are quite different. TGM much more relaxed.

TGM's information is much more current. It gets updated constantly. Whereas the UG, or any printed guidebook, is outdated before it gets to the publisher. Especially this year with the MYW tickets and such.

TGM is put together by a professional tour guide, who is in the parks on a near daily basis, who actually tours the parks. UG has people stand at the ride entrances timing wait times.

Those are just some of the differences. TGM has so much confidence in his content that he offers a money back guarantee.

You have nothing to lose.

I would get it for May. That way you have a chance to learn his methods. Then, if you don't renew, you'll at least have the basic tools to have a better September trip.

I wasn't asking anyone to divulge any information. I'm planning on buying it......I just wanted assurance that the December touring days would be online soon (by the time I wanted to make dinner reservations).

That's probably not going to happen since Disney doesn't release park hours until 6 months out. Basically the same time as ADR's are openned up.

It takes TourGuideMike a few days to look at the schedules and get the content formatted for the site. But you're still ahead of where you would have been last year, when you could make your ADRs 90 days in advance and park hours came out at the 60 day mark.

Since I've never signed up before, can someone explain to me how it works. Do I go to his site and do my own research for my days at the parks? So, I still plan it myself based on when my days of my trip are, but he suggests when to go to each park? I guess I don't understand what I get for my money.
