Just Back! Update On Crowds...

My DH wants to cancel we are due to leave 21! We had a rough finanacial Aug. But our room is paid for and I have my AP but no free dining (we were too late) Now I see these crowds....I HAVE TO GO!!!!!

Pixi Dust me PLEASE!!!! :guilty: :sad2: :scared1: :scared:  :headache: :( :worried:

We get there tomorrow... can't wait to have to conquer those crowds. Knowing my luck, it will be packed.

We were at Animal Kingdom that day and DH rode EE at about 11am with about a 5-10 minute wait.

We just got back last night and we didn't wait in line for anything!!!! The weekend was noticeably busier, but still very light.

I will keep my fingers crossed for all of you going in the next couple of weeks that the crowds stay away!!!

I'm so glad you prepared me for the massive crowds!! :rotfl2: We went at this time in 2004 and we thought the parks were empty becasue of Hurricane Jeanne! I'm glad to hear that I don't need a Hurricane to clear the parks out for me this time!! We leave Saturday the 16th. I'll be happy to take some crowd photos and post them when I return. :disrocks:

I tried to add a day to our trip. We are going Sept 24th-Oct 1. I tried to leave on the 2nd. Not one open room. I am concerned about the crowds. Hopefully not too crowded end of Sept.! We are staying at POP.

we are staying at AS Mu for the exact same days. i tried since the very first day I booked to get switched to AS movies. EVEN during all the ruckus about the movies pool being closed, i called 3 times a day then. ive called (seriously) about 70 times total. I finally just gave up. always booked. I WISH I had booked one week earlier. it might be a madhouse. I called, and they told me ALL the values were booked up, ALL the moderates were booked, and AK lodge were ALL booked solid. I'm sure some of this is about the dining plan, but it still worries me. :rolleyes1

Hope for the best... :thumbsup2
Prepare for the worse... :surfweb:
and ADAPT if its bad...
Ive been so much, i can always find something to do if its crowded.
At least I'm not home or under a house in the mud fixing broken pipes!
No cellphone is a blessing too. Just not being "on call 24/7" is vacation for me!!! :badpc:

It looks as if quite a few of us will be there the last week of September. With F&W starting on the last full day of our stay and with MNSSHP on one of the nights, I don't know what to expect with the crowd levels. We normally go in the middle of Sept and never have lines, so we're hoping it will be the same way. Does anyone have any experience from last year for the last week of Sept, right at the beginning of F&W? I want to know if I should prepare my family for lines.

Thanks

I'm with you guys, I think the end of Sept will be busier. I have been watching the Dis signatures and making of notes of Disers we might see while we are there 9/23-10/1. I have over 120 on my list!! We've been at the beginning of Sept before and crowds were very manageable, hope this trip is too.

I am going the 27th - 30th and TGM, still has these days as 4 and 5. I am really hoping that is true. I have never been in September and am so looking forward to this trip (well I feel that way about any Disney trip)

Thanks Team Weasel! Really torn about what to do. :confused3 I just want to go because the crowds are so low.

We are staying at AS Music too!

We may be on the bus together.
I will be wearing my pink (yes, pink) Panthers cap most days at the park. I DO have the black and blue Panthers cap, but I figure that will get too hot in the sun of FL.

**ETA: I will also have my Home Depot alien green (lime green) Mickey head attached to my backpack.

Last year we went Sept 29-Oct4. The crowds were light in my opinion. It was my first trip, free dining, F&W, and MNSSHP. My dd is only 3 so we did not ride the "major" attractions. But we did not have a wait longer than 10 minutes for anything. We walked on most of the fast pass attractions. Only fast pass was for the safari in AK.

:dancer:

Good Friday morning to all!

I looked online just out of curiosity to see what rooms I could get during my scheduled stay from 9/20 - 9/29. I do this randomly up until my departure to try and gauge the crowds at the resort. (I am booked at the POP) Up until last week, I was able to get rooms at ASMusic and ASSports. Movies and POP were both booked well in advance. However, I am still able to get a room at POFQ and PORS as well as Carribean Beach in the moderate category. It looks like all of the Deluxe resorts have rooms with the exception of Wilderness Lodge. I'm hoping this is a good sign. We went the exact same week last year and our longest wait was 15 minutes for Peter Pan. Everything else was walk on or 5 minutes max. I'm hoping for the same thing this year. Either way, I know I will have a blast. Hope to see some of you guys there! :moped:

Team weasel I'm glad I am not the only one that checks the resorts. :cool1: 3 MORE DAYS TILL I VISIT THE WORLD :cool1:

As far as resort bookings... be aware that they only set aside a certain number of rooms with the free DDP package (which we have). I could book a room at basically any of them weeks ago, but NOT without losing my free dining options.

We are staying at AS Music too!

Cool! We will be the family of 4, wearing All Ears lanyards and pins. I have a shaved head, and my wife has long hair. Our son is autistic, and he might be misbehaving. Although he is often at his best at WDW, he hits alot, so if you see a kid who appears to "habitarily" hit his little sister, that will be a sure fire sign that you just spotted us!!! Say hi!
