We just returned yesterday from 8 days at the WL. A few observations:

1) Evening EMH at Epcot and MK were the most crowded parts of the trip.
2) The princess breakfast at Norway may be the biggest dining rip-off at WDW. While the princesses came around once each (4 of them), the bill was steep for eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes and cinnamon rolls.
3) We met the rudest cast member we've ever met at the WL (oddly enough, we've dealt with him before and he was never that rude)
4) O'Hana's dinner is the best meal on property
5) We rode Everest and WOW! Incredible ride!
6) We were disappointed that the beer tappers were out at the England pavilion at Epcot for the last 3 days of our trip. Apparently the ceiling of the cooler room (where the kegs are kept) was crumbling and needed replacement.
7) We were disappointed that the mexican resturant adjacent to Pirates is now only open during the most busy times (Christmas, New Years, Easter and the 4th of July). We love that place!
8) We drove 1,250 miles each way and I must say, driving stinks!

That's the long and short of it, I think.

I'm interested in your comment #3. We encountered a very rude front desk CM at the WL 3 1/2 years ago. I wrote a letter of complaint, but unfortunately I didn't get his name (dumb move on my part, I know). Well, the front desk manager called and said "I think I know who you mean-we've gotten lots of complaints about him."After 3 1/2 years, let's hope it's not the same one who's stayed to be rude all this time!
You've really got me excited to ride EE in a few weeks.

Are you referring to Pirate Y El Perico? We've tried to eat there in our last 5 trips and it's never open. I sure wish they were open more often - I'm dying to try it. We always take a picture with the sign and point to it as if to say "Open already!"

I think his name was Stewart and he works at the Trout Pass bar. Here's what happened. We were at the bar and I asked him if the WL was made of wood or if it was concrete/fiberglass made to look like wood. He said 'it's made of wood'. I said 'really? I'm surprised that they would use wood for support beams'. He said 'It's wood; do you think I'm lying to you? I only lie to my wife.' He then told the other bartender (a very nice woman whose name escapes me) to talk to me. She explained that it's wood wherever it can be and concrete made to look like wood for all areas where it can't be wood. A few minutes later, a friend of ours ordered a round of drinks for our group and told Stewart that he was running a tab and to put the order on his tab. He asked the name and my friend said 'Smith' which is his last name. Apparently, Stewart thought we were messing with him because he immediately said 'I don't have time for this' and walked away, again telling the female bartender to 'deal with us'. We weren't intoxicated or unruly at all so I'm not sure what was up.

That's the resturant. It used to be open all the time, but now only is rarely. It's disappointing because we love the tacos there.
