OK I have never done a "Trip Report" but just thought I would share a few things from our trip. Let me preface this by saying we LOVE WDW but this trip left was a little....weird maybe is the best way to put it.
On trip down:
Family of the Day along with 5 other families (one other guy kept saying, we were the first ones in). But by the time we got up the stairs the train with characters came and the Cast member said, "hurry up and get on the train to see the characters"...we walked onto the train, and then were immediately told we needed to get off the train b/c it had to leave. We then went down below the station figuring we would at least get to see the characters but all we got was a certificate and the characters werent even there. Just very weird. Luckily both our DD's 8 and 6 have had multiple pics and interaction with the charcters before, but our oldest said, "man being family of the day stinks...we are now late getting to rides" LOL!
On TTA we videotaped Space Mountain because it was shut down
@ night at Magic Kingdom We rode Space Mountain and it stopped half way through. We were stuck about 10 minutes. All the Lights were on and we had to get helped out of the rocket. Got to see everything inside and got FREE Fastpasses for our troubles. We didnt have a camera OR videocamera with us
All-Star Sports Drinking parents, NO supervision by adults, NO lifeguards at the pool multiple times, Teen ager hookups, Intense dads reliving their youth, everyone throwing something. I am all for having a good time but it was just crazy. Keep in mind I am 35 and so is my wife, and I am all for fun. But it was crazy. I guess it was to be expected with it being AS SPorts but just a very different atmosphere from the other AS we have stayed at before.
Anyone not to sound like a stick in the mud, we still had a great time. Just a very weird and different experience at WDW. Through it all our DD's LOVED it and thats what is the most important thing. I personally wont ever stay at AS Sports again and prefere POP much better, but the bus service for ASSports was A++++. Much better than expected. Anyway just a few highlights from our trip. Not a quality report by any means but something to pass along..oh yeah on Carousel of Progress in scene two I believe (20's) the man has a LEFT shoe on his right foot!
