Hi,
We had a fantastic time! I am a "get to the point" kinda girl so here it goes!
Wilderness Lodge- we loved it! We booked a bunk bed woods view room. I did request the 6th floor near the lobby but received 4th floor, not too far from lobby. This was our first time at the Lodge.
We did have a snafu at check in. We arrived at 11am and were told that our room was ready. I was sooooo happy as it was an early morning flight and looked forward to relaxing. We go up to our room (4130) and there is a guy painting the patio.... I call down and they say to go back to check in. I was a little annoyed as we each had heavy backpacks and couldn't wait to get them off our backs. I was still smiling though! I didnt complain as I was really hoping they would find us a room that was ready. She apologized and told us that they gave us a $50 guest inconvenience credit on our account... Unfortunately, our room was not ready but we went to lunch at the Whispering Canyon with the $50 credit..
Finally checked in at 1pm.. Loved the room, very clean! We loved the boat rides and even the bus rides! No major waits all week for transportation.
Dining Plan
I had a plan for everyday but we still ended up leaving 5 quick dining credits.. I tried to give them away but those that I asked looked at me like I was crazy.
We had several character breakfasts planned and a couple dinners that we had never done before.
Crystal Palace- great breakfast, castle view!
Tonys Town Square (dinner)- ehh, ok food. The waitress was a downer...
Tusker House- Best breakfast by far!
ESPN club- my husband's only request.. Food was ok, drinks were delish!
1900 Park Faire- great characters, not a fan of the food.
Ohana- great breakfast, castle view again!
Akershus- good breakfast, princesses were wonderful
Hollywood and Vine- Fantasmic package... food was ok, waiter was great. We forgot our water spritzer thingy and he chased us down outside to give it back to us! Fantasmic was cancelled due to the weather which was a major downer....
Hoop dee doo review- Great show, we had category 3 and we could see everything! The food was ok but the Sangria was a very good!
Great trip, rained almost every afternoon for a little bit which gave us a good excuse for a quick nap! We will definitely be back to the Lodge!!!
