...and it was 4 days of Wonder-ful! We had a great time!! :) Here's some tidbits...

Best tip: bungee cords for the connecting doors. This is sooo necessary because the doors won't stay open at all without them. We bungeed the doors open and it worked great!

Meal rotation: We were on the TAAP schedule (Tritons, Animators Palate, Parrot Cay). Pirate night was on day 2 (Monday), formal night was on day 3. We went to Palo on day 3, so we missed the Animator's Palate show since they didn't do it on day 2 because of Pirate night.

Magical Moment: DH and DS were doing the bottom fishing excursion on CC and got there way too early. They were the 1st ones down there. The officer in charge made DS the official in charge of security (with officer supervision, of course!) He got to scan DH with one of the scanning wands. The officers showed him how to run the bag scanner. He wore an officer's hat. And he cleared the ship with the bridge-he talked on the walkie-talkie to the bridge. He was told to ask "Permission to go ashore?" and he said "Permission to...um...get off the boat?" Permission was granted, and the officer told DS, "Matt you just cleared the ship for over 2000 people!" They took pictures and DH & DS later received certificates commemorating the experience. It was cool!!

Tip for Disney: I have no idea how they would pull this off because of meal planning, but the pirate party really needs to be earlier. It is just too late for our kids (9, 6, 4), and for us. We were exhausted by 10pm. But, DH and I were discussing it on the way home and we don't know how that could be done without messing up dinner and the shows.

Mistake corrected: On the 1st evening, we had dropped off shirts/pillowcase for the characters to sign. On the last evening, they were returned to our stateroom unsigned! I took them down to guest services and very nicely explained the situation. The CM very kindly took the shirts/pillowcase, apologized, and within 2 hours, they were re-delivered to our stateroom signed wonderfully! Great service! :thumbsup2

If anyone has any questions, I would love to answer to the best of my ability, but we are leaving again (yes, we're crazy! ) and we'll be back on Saturday and I can answer then.

Welcome back and glad you had a great time! There's nothing like a DCL cruise!

Pirate night was on day 2 (Monday), formal night was on day 3.

Just to avoid confusion, there is no formal night on the 4-day sailings. It is "dress-up" night. I only mention it so future cruisers won't think they have to pack formalwear.

Oops! Sorry about that! Yes, it was more of a dress up night. :thumbsup2

Glad to hear you had such a great time. We leave this Sunday and I was wondering what movies are playing on board?

Thanks for your TR and tips. Can you tell me what live shows were playing each night? You mentioned the pirate night on Monday night was very late, did it start at 9:45pm?

Hi! I'm back and can answer questions!

Movies: Theater movies were Prince Caspian, Enchanted, Step Up 2: The Streets, and College Road Trip, and National Treasure 2. I was hoping for a sneak peak of Wall-E, but no such luck. TV movies included Spiderwick Chronicles, Mad Money, and various Disney animated movies.

Live Shows: 1st night was Golden Mickeys, 2nd Night was comedian/juggler Max Winfrey, 3rd night was Toy Story: the Musical, and final night was Disney Dreams.

Pirate night did start at 9:45pm.

I did save my Navigators, and I'll try to get them posted. Hopefully, I can figure it out.

OK, I searched and I don't know how to post pictures. Anyone know (so I can post Navigators)?

Do you happen to remember what time you needed to be back on the ship on Nassau day? Past navigators have shown 5pm and some have shown up to 6pm.

Is the dining back to staggered times for each seating, or is it still one time for main & one time for second??

Thanks

We had to be back on by 5pm.

It is only one time for each dinner seating: 5:45pm for early and 8:15pm for late.
