Just back today from Contemporary

[Disney Freak Numero Uno]

I checked in at the Contemporary (North Wing) on Tuesday and returned this afternoon. We had absolutely no problems in this hotel - room was clean and well maintained. I can see what people say about the hallways in the wings needing refurbishment - carpet is old and stained and wallpaper is peeling - but we weren't bothered by it - everything seemed clean. This will never be my first choice resort because I don't like the theming (or lack thereof) but for $220 per night during spring break, it was fine. ALso, encountered no rude CMs anywhere.
By the way, this was the first time I was ever asked to show my annual pass at check-in.
If anyone has any questions, I will be glad to answer.

I'll be at the Contemp. (hopefully North Wing), so do you have any room recommendations for me? What rooms should I try to avoid at all cost? I would like, probably like everyone else, something close to the Tower with a good view.

I stayed at the CR about a week ago. STAY AWAY from the South Wing.....was put in room 6219 which is as faraway as you can be from the main bldg. You take many twists and turns through hallways that all look alike. You could walk outside and cut the time in half but we were there in the torrential rain

Will not be staying there again.........needs rehabbing deparately.

In December we had room 7284 (north wing) - a great location! The room was in great shape; close to the main building; very quiet -- and we had an unobstructed view of WISHES!

It was very crowded. But we were able to do most of what we wanted in spite of the crowds, due to the late park hours. We found that bus service was a little slow but not terrible.
Our room number was 3750. We had a great view but it was very far from the main building. I don't mind the walk but if you have small children, it might seem far to walk after returning from a long day in the parks.
