We were there from 9/13-9/20 and had a fabulous, magical trip! Here is where we ate and some reviews (there were 6 of us...4 adults/2 kids). We were on the dining plan and we all thought the portions everywhere were very big. We left full everywere we went! Let me know if you have any questions!
1900 Park Fare-seated within 5 minutes of checking in. Characters were great...stepsisters were so good, but I was surprised that Lady Tremaine wasn't "mean" at all. She was asking about our day, what were would be doing the next day, etc. Food, was just okay...nothing special. It was pretty chaotic in there...lots of dirty tables, chairs kind of everywhere and messy...I think they were short staffed and couldn't keep up with everyone.
Spoodles-seated within 5 minutes of checking in...everyone loved their food and service was great. Delicious bread and dipping oil!
Tuttu Italia-seated within 5 minutes of checking in...this was the best service all week. Everything was delicious and we were all very happy with our meals. The lasagna was great!
Les Chefs de France-again, we were seated within 5 minutes of checking in and the service was great. We all thought the food was very good, but not as good as Tuttu Italia. My husband thought the tuna was dry and I had the beef tenderloin with the potatoes gratin. I think there is either cinnamon or nutmeg in the potatoes...very strange and I couldn't eat them. The restaurant was loud and bustling, but it was nice and seemed to fit in with a loud Paris restaurant.
Crystal Palace-we had lunch here and waited for almost 20 minutes after checking in. Again, there were lots of dirty tables, chairs strewn everywhere. The food was good...better than 1900 Park Fare. Characters were great.
Kona Cafe-We had a dinner reservation for 6:40pm and about 2 months ago, I realized that Spectro was at 8pm that night so for two months, once a day, I called to get an earlier reservation. It was never available...completely booked. I even tried the morning of our reservation...nothing. So, we all showed up at 5:30pm and asked if there was any way we can be seated early. They told me no and that we would be seated close to our 6:40pm time. Literally, 1 minute later, the buzzer went off and we were seated! And, once I got seated and was looking around, I noticed many empty tables, just waiting for people! The food was great, but our server was awful. She took a very long time to bring our drinks, forgot to bring the waters we asked for, brought the bill before our plates were cleared and dessert was served.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall-We had a reservation for the Princess Storybook Breakfast. We saw Belle first for pictures, then while eating, we saw Mary Poppins, Mulan, Aurora and Jasmine. All of the princesses were fabulous and so sweet to my dauhters. The food and service were great. The only negative things was the lack of organization when we arrived. We had a 10:10am reservation and arrived at 10:00am. We waited in line for 15 minutes to check in. After checking in, we were asked to wait in the courtyard for our name to be called. We waited 30 minutes to be called and then we had to get in the line to see Belle. This took another 15 minutes until we made it to her. Once we were finally inside the restaurant, it was literally half full, so I'm not sure what all the waiting was about. Overall, we did like it, but it took over 2 hours from start to finish, so we probably won't do it again.
Wolfgan Puck Express-delicious! Everyone loved it...service was great and the best value for using a counter service credit. We'll definitely go back!
For counter service restaurants, we ate at Sassagoula Floatworks, Riverside Mill, Pizzafari (beautiful interior), Leaning Palms, Pecos Bill (awesome fixins' bar!), Backlot Express. We all thought they were just okay...nothing special and could use some more options, especially for kid's meals! We did get a large soda instead of a medium soda that comes with the plan at Pecos Bill and Leaning Palms.
