Just Back - Thought and Questions About RPR Room

Stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort this weekend.
Here is what I noticed:
1. Lobby is beautiful and check in/out was quick and easy.
2. The hallways had a bit of a "The Shining" vibe. I know you'll think me nuts, but I looked down that long hall with the color of the doors and was waiting for a set of creepy little girls to appear!
3. The main part of the room was a little small for the price, but clean and nicely appointed.
4. The beds were very comfortable.
5. The entry to the room and bathroom were strange.
The entry was overly large and seemed to have a great deal of wasted space. The entry also seemed to be that of a much lower end room.
The bathroom was large and it was nice to have room to dress in it. While the sink and mirror were nice and fitted the style of the room, the shower looked like it belonged in cheap motel.
It had ugly, old ceramic tile over a cheap tub and there were oddly added grab bars. It also had the original shower head and an "added later" adjustable shower head.
We kept looking at both and saying, "what's wrong with this picture?" We only thought it could be a handicapped accessible room that lacked a roll in shower.
Not complaining, just found these two elements odd.

Overall - a really great trip. Loved the boat transportation and the express pass.

The 1'st time we stayed there I thought the samething about the hallways having that "Shining vibe" also...:lmao:

We have only been to Orlando a few times but we have found RPR to be the best hotel we have stayed in and the largest rooms and can't say enough about the staff cause they went above and beyond for us this past June when we got someone elses bag at the airport :rotfl2:

We have stayed at RPR and HR and I thought RPR was a much more relaxed vacation.It was easy to submerge in the thoughts of an island paradise.Hard Rock was nice but I think my rock star days are in the past.

"the shining vibe" had me laughing. When I stayed there with my 2 kids in 2008, DD asked me if it was haunted. :rotfl: So I guess she had it too.

:lmao::lmao:

We thought that too............those hallways always made me think of The Shining...................................

I half expected to see a little lad on a bike when this picture came up on screen :eek:

As for the odd entry and bathroom..the first 4 times we stayed at RPR it was a bit different...the last time the entry was odd..thought maybe we had a pet room where the tile area was bigger??

We also prefer the RPR....have stayed in all 3..RPR is our favorite while HRH is the least

ha, u should see the ones @ Wilderness lodge...red rum indeed:laughing:

Everybody is quoting the shining and making me think what if one of the maids open the door and stick thier head through the door and say here's Johnny :lmao::lmao:

What are the differences between Tower 1 and Tower 3?

:lmao::lmao:
