Just Back Thksgiving Week Very Long!!

OK HERE IT GOES.......

ARRIVED FRIDAY THE 21ST OFF PROPERTY...NO PROBLEM.
SATURDAY MORNING CHECKED INTO THE CBR WE INTENDED ON LEAVING OUT LUGGAGE UNTIL WE COULD GET INTO OUR ROOMS LATER BUT YIPEE THEY LET US IN OUR ROOMS (3 ROOMS) AT 9:30 AM.....SO WE UNLOAD WE WERE IN BARBADOS VERY CLOSE TO BUS STOP...OUR ROOMS WERE 1110,1111, AND 1112. GOOD LOCATION FOR BUSES BUT A GOOD HIKE TO FOOD COURT. ROOMS WERE GREAT. SO WE WENT TO EPCOT THERE WERE 8 OF US MOM,DAD, MY YOUNGEST SISTER, HER HUSBAND, ME, MY HUBBY , AND 2 TEENAGE (14 & 15) SONS. THE WERE NO CROWDS WE HAD A 20 MINUTE WAIT FOR MISSION: SPACE WHICH WAS NOTHING CONSIDERING IT WAS A NEW RIDE AND THAT WAS AT 10:30 AM. TEST TRACK 10 MIN WAIT... HAD A GOOD DAY. I ATE IN MEXICO OMG THE FOOD WAS AWESOME. MY BEST MEAL ALL WEEK.

SUNDAY AM MY MOM SAYS SOMEONE KNOCKED ON OUR DOOR AT 1AM I SAID WHO???? THOMAS MY OTHER SISTERS SON WHO IS 2.5 (THIS IS MY SISTER WHO DID NOT COME ON THE FAMILY TRIP)
SO SHE SUPRISED US SHE CAME DOWN WITH HER 3 KIDS AGE 2.5 AND 15 MONTHS AND 4 WEEKS. AND WITH HER CAME HER MIL AND SIL AND HER 3 KIDS 5 YEARS 2.5 YEARS AND 15 MONTHS. SO WE WENT FROM 8 TO 17 GREAT!! SO WE WENT ON SUNDAY TO ANIMAL KINGDOM... HORROR SHOW!!! ABSOLUTE HORROR SHOW IT WAS PACKED I WAS SO BUMMED I DID ITS TOUGH TO BE A BUG AND DINASAUR....SAW A FEW I MEAN A FEW ANIMALS AND I DID THE SAFARI. AND I WAS THERE FROM OPEN UNTIL 6ISH. BIG BUMMER.

MONDAY MAGIC KINGDOM..........I CRIED AND CRIED IT WAS 100X WORSE THAN ANIMAL KINGDOM....I DID 3 RIDES I WANTED MY MONEY BACK AT THIS POINT. HERE IS MY OPINION ON THE PARADES..THERE ARE TO MANY OF THEM EVERYTIME I WANTED TO GO ANYWHERE THE WAS A PARADE GOING ON PLACES BLOCKED OFF NIGHTMARE.. FAST PASS JOKE!!! I WAS THERE IN 99 AND 00 AND I WOULD GET A FAST PASS AT SAY 11AM AND GET ON AT 12 NOT ANYMORE GET A FAST PASS AT 11 GET ON AT 5PM!!! SO IF YOUR AT ONE END OF THE PARK YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE OTHER END IT WAS A BIG PAIN!!

TUESDAY MGM....CROWED BUT NOT AS BAD GOT FAST PASSES. DH DID RRC FOR THE FIRST TIME HE LOVED IT. THAT WAS GREAT TO SEE HIM DO THAT. THE STAND BY WAIT WAS 95MIN. WE HAD FAST PASSES BUT WE FOUND THEY STOP GIVING THOSE OUT MID AFTERNOON. BUT HAD A GOOD DAY MISSED ALOT THOUGH BUT THATS OK WE WERE THERE AND HAD FUN.

WED.... HAD TO ADD AN EXTRA DAY WE HAD 5 DAY PASSES NEED ANOTHER DAY BECAUSE OF MONDAY....LET KIDS GO OFF ON THERE OWN...IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT LETTING YOUR KIDS GO OFF ON THERE OWN AND MY ADVISE PM ME. SO WE DH AND MYSELF (SISTER WITH LITTLE KIDS LEFT THAT DAY AND OTHERS WENT SHOPPING) SO WE FINISHED FUTURE WORLD NOW I AM SMILING THEN TO MK FINISHED UP SOME MORE OVER THERE AND THE CROWEDS WERE THERE BUT NOT TO BAD. I AM RELAXING HAVING FUN.

THURSDAY TURKEY DAY..............MK FINISHED UP NOT BAD CROWDS IN AM AND EARLY AFTERNOON....OVER TO EPCOT...WE HAD PS FOR 50S PRIMETIME BUT HAD TO CANCEL (SUPRISE VISIT THREW OFF PLANS) SO DH CHECKED OUT ENGLAND AT 5 PM 10 MIN WAIT WE HAD TURKEY YUMMY

FRIDAY...SHOPPING MARKETPLACE DH FAV PLACE. ABOUT 2 HOURS AFTER WE GOT THERE HE STARTED HAVING CHEST PAINS!!
SO WE HAD SOMEONE IN THE STORE CALL 911. OK THIS IS WHY I DID NOT PANIC AND I KNEW EVERYTHING WOULD BE OK.....WHAMO WE WERE SURROUNDED BY DISNEY MANAGERS AND SECURITY....CHAIRS WATER WE BEING OFFERED. BUT NO SHOPPERS COULD GET NEAR US. WE WERE BLOCKED OFF BY SURCURITY THEN NESTER AND MIKE I THINK CAME ON THE GOLF CART AMBULANCE REEDY CREEK OMG THEY WERE AWESOME!!!!
THEY COMVINCED DH TO GO TO HOSPITAL....FINALLY HE AGREEDED...THEY CALLED THE BIG AMBULANCE AND OFF WE WENT TO CELEBRATION HOSPITAL I DO NOT REMEMBER THESE 2 GUYS NAMES BUT THEY TOO WERE WONDERFUL. WE HAD TEST AFTER TEST THEY WERE WONDERFUL SLOW (VERY BUSY) BUT WONDERFUL.....WE GOT THERE AT 430 AND DISCHARGED AT 11:30. DISNEY MAGIC AGAIN CALLED CBR THEY CAME AND PICKED US UP TRIED TO HAVE A SCRIPT FILLED FOR US BUT COULD'T (THEY CLOSED AT 1130).. I WAS SO IMPRESSED...APRIL AT THE CBR HELPED SO MUCH AND WAS WONDERFUL SO IF YOU EVER SEE HER LET HER KNOW. AND ONE OTHER THING DURING THIS TIME MY PARENTS WERE WAITING FOR US TO CALL AND GUESS WHAT ALL THE PHONE LINES FOR DISNEY WERE DOWN....
SO I CALLED 1407-W-DISNEY AND WENT TO RESERVATIONS AND SPOKE TO COCO AND SHE FROM WHEREVER SHE WAS GOT A MESSAGE TO MY MOM AND DAD....WOW WHAT AND AWESOME PLACE TO STAY...ALL AND ALL IT WAS A MEMORABLE & FUN VACATION...NEXT TIME JUST ME AND DH..

Glad to hear your DH was well taken care of.

You are an awesome person, if my family members showed up unannounced on my vacation and messed up my ps ressies I would have been spitting fire.

kalidk - we were there the same time as you, except we flew out 11/28 around 5:30.

11/22 we did MK - my DH left around noon for a football game , the rest left around 2 because the place was getting busy. We went back that night for birthday dinner, pretty busy but do-able.

We did MK on sunday morning - BIG,BIG,BIG crowds. Left right after lunch.

UA on monday - no problems.

We did MGM on tuesday too - crowds were there but okay. Only fast food if you didn't have a ps.

We did AK on wed - crowds were great.

TL on tday with dinner at GG. Crowds not bad at all.

Friday MK again - when we left around 1:30 the crowds were fine in the am but that afternoon WOWWWWW - it was hard to walk.

We had no problems at all at EPCOT but mainly visited the countries.

Chestpains and unexpected company!! No wonder you had some stressful times on your holiday!! I'm so glad things turned out fine and that over all everything sounded great!!

We also did THanksgiving week. And sounds like we did the exact same schedule you did.

AK Sunday - Crowded, but did not think it was unbearable. HOwever, I do not think that the CMs were prepared as well. KS ride said 35 min wait, and instead was 1 hr 15 min. UGH. But when we got out there, the giraffes were so close to the car that we had to stop, and could have actually touched one if we wanted to. There were lots of animals out.

MK Monday - We left mid day to do some other things, and came back at about 4 pm when everyone seemed to be heading out. It was enjoyable the rest of the night.

MGM Tuesday - INSANITY!! Fast Passes for RR and TT were gone by 1 pm. Lines were insane. DH waited in line for 40 mintues for counter service food.

Epcot Wed - Not unbearable crowded, but when there is a wrap around line for SPaceship Earth, you know it is crowded. And there is no longer a ride at Living Seas, so we were so happy we had a PS for lunch at the Coral Reef. Prices weren't too bad for mediocre food since we only had appetizers.

MK Thursday - Crowded, but parts of the park were open at 8 am, and we just happened to get there early so that we rode every single ride we wanted to before 12 pm. We got ABSOLUTELY SOAKED on Splash Mountain.

MK Friday - We only went in the afternoon, and left before the storms came. I felt so sorry for those in the parks at that time.

We ate at CRT, Hollywood & Vine w/ Fantasmic, Coral Reef, Ohanas, Libert Tree for Thanksgiving...everything was wonderful. We had perfect seats for every single restaurant. We had a great time. We will probably go again at Thanksgiving, but we had taken my mom for her very first time and tried to make sure she saw everything...we may have worn her out.

P.S. SOOO glad it was not a heart attack! Hope your DH is doing well now.

My brother, SIL and her sis, BIL and nephew stayed with my mom last week. Per my mom...parks were crowded..her friend who works at Disney said attendance was up 95% since 9/11..I don't know how accurate that figure is, but mom said 60 minute and 90 minute waits in stand-by were the norm for all rides with fast pass return times after 5pm by 11am in the morning. But according to my mother...everyone was able to shop enough to justify new luggage for the trip home..so I guess the parks weren't that unbearable if they were still willing to stand in line to buy stuff.

We were there from Nov 22-30th. MK on 22nd wasn't bad, did Epcot on 23rd also not bad. The crowds arrived Sunday! We went to MK for a little that day and it was packed but got better later in the evening. The parks were all open late all week.

I can't remember right now which days we went to the parks but we didn't do any early entry, just went to the park the day after or a different day. Wednesday we went to MGM and were the first ones in the park, my DD's went to the rope drop for TOT & RnRC and I went to the rope at the hat when they opened the front at 8:45. I looked back and by 9am the entire street was filled with people. When I went to RnRC at 9:15am to get Fastpasses the standby line was 55minutes. It took about 10-15minutes just to get fastpasses.

My girls said they followed instructions and stayed right with the CM escort to RnRC so that when they got to the ride he told them and a couple of others to tell the ride operators that he said they could go again ! They were escorted back to the loading dock and were able to get right back on

We must have had pixie dust or been in the right place at the right time. We also pursued AKL and not the parks as much. We arrived at AK Thurs. at 8am for Donald's, then walked onto PW, TS, and FOTLK. That afternoon at MGM we walked onto GMR, had a 10 min. wait for the next Haunted Mansion set tour, and about a 10 min wait for Animation Tour then the academy. No line at ST either. We had just been last month, and were just planning to eat at MGM, so we avoided the big thrill rides ! We did about 8 rides in the first 1 1/2 MK was open Friday. By 11 the crowds were thick, but we were ready to eat. We did have a 15 min wait for IASM afterward and about 15 mins for Goofy's BS. We fastpassed SM and were back at AKL by 1 and did more than anticipated. Saw Mickey's Philharmagic again(so it last month), and really like it.
I think we just planned right, had realistic goals, and some pixie dust. Had a blast and glad we spent our holiday there. AKL was wonderful.
