Just back, the RPR is fantastic!

Well, It's back to reality. We spent 4/18- 4/22 at the Royal Pacific Resort. It was lovely. We had a entertainment waterview rate and I had requested Pool view and Tower three. We got the pool view but in Tower 1. Anyway we were on the 7th floor( when they gave us our room number I was excited thinking possibly CL but found out that is only in Tower3. The view was better from our friend's room in Tower 3 but mine was fine. Tower 3 is closer to the boats, tower 1 closer to the walkway to City Walk. We had a quick breakfast a few days in the Orchard Court Lounge but then we found a Publix and bought muffins for the rest of the mornings. We still bought coffee in the lobby each morning. It's refillable until noon. Lunch we ate at the parks or Margaritaville(great). We did two dinners at Mythos. The first was fantastic, the second was just ok.(Great service first trip- poor,second visit) Our children are grown so we missed the Easter Egg hunt at the pool. By the way the pools is great. I do have one complaint about the pool area. People put their towels out early even though they are going to the parks, and unlike Disney or the HRH the staff doen't remove the towels after an hour or so with no one there. This means there aren't many chairs for those of us who wish to go to the pool in the afternoon but are considerate enough not to claim a chair for the whole day. This was my only real complaint about the RPR. I'd definitely stay there again. FOTL is awecome, it even works at the restaurants so we didn't nee reservations. Have to do laundry now. OH well I haven't done it in a week. Any questions?

I just got back myself too. We were there 4/17--4/22. Then we headed for Disney ASSp. I know what you mean about leaving the towel on the chair...and thinking that the chair is still occupied. So it's hard to find an empty chair.

Yeah...isn't this resort wonderful!! All the people I have encountered are friendly and helpful.

The kids really enjoyed the pool and the beach. I even played volleyball with some kids. Had a lot of fun..and got my tan too!!

I was in tower 2, 5th floor. We can see the Incredible Hulk coaster and the twin tower ride (don't know the name). Did you guys see the fireworks? We saw it right from our room!!...then the following night we saw it from the pool. It was soo kewl!!

We took the bus...the water taxi...and we even walked to IOA and only took about 10 minute stroll.

It's funny you mentioned the laundry...I did this just yesterday!!

Now this is going to sound funny but we couldn't see the Islands fireworks from our room but we did see the Magic Kingdom's Our room faced the pool but it also faced away from the parks. Disney was off in the distance but we definitely could see their fireworks. My friends room was in Tower 3 facing the pool and we watched them from there one night. Another night we went down to the pool but a boat came along so we just hoped on it and went into IOA. We got great seats just in time in Seuss.
We also went over to the HRH for ice cream. That lokked really beautiful. I took the boat over to PBH and wlked around. It seemed a little out of the way for me. We usually walked to City Walk or IOA but took the boat for the studios. I LOVED FOTL. We even got seats at Mythos for a party of 11 in 10 minutes when others were being told it was an hour wait. I don't think I will EVER go to US without staying on property. I was just annoyed when we got to Disney and had to wait for busses and rides. Fantasmic was just too much trouble. I guess I was spoiled.
