Yes, lucky me I picked the 2nd rainiest June on record to visit WDW! We still had a great time during our 2 weeks there and sure got our monies worth out of our $7 ºoº ponchos! We did all the evening EMHs which were GREAT. I really think you can get more done in those 3 hours than you can spending all day in the parks. Crowds really weren't that bad. The poor weather did cancel a lot of outdoor shows (Off Kilter, my favorite, had many shows cancelled to my great sadness). My niece is ready to go back and my sister became VERY interested in DVC after spending a wek in our HUGE one bedroom at OKW (WONDERFUL resort, by the way). Fire away with any questions you may have.

Which is better as far as the crowds, the EMH in the mornings or the evenings? How much bigger are OKW than the other home away from home resorts? We stayed at Saratoga last September.

Sorry, I can't provide any EMH morning info (we are not morning people, usually we hung out at the pool until mid-afternoon before heading out). As far as the evening EMHs, the crowds really dropped ~ half an hour after the official start. My 7 yo niece and I went to MK on Monday 6/20 for EMH arriving at 11 pm and staying until ~ 1:30 am. I think the longest wait we had was 10 minutes for Peter Pan. Earlier in the day, the wait was ~ 70 minutes. We were able to do every ride that she wanted to (I think about 11 total) and had a great time. Our AK evening EMH was very wet and stormy, so that may account for the low crowds that we encountered.

As far as comparing OKW to SS, here's a little info. A one BR at OKW is 1016 square feet. A one BR at SS is 714 square feet. Pretty big difference, huh?! VWL is our home resort, but I am now a very big OKW fan and know that we will be returning there in the future. The location was great and the resort had a great "feel" about it. I do like how close SS is to DD (especially World of Disney....my favorite store!), but the size difference really makes me lean towards OKW.

Wow! Your night EMH experience was vastly different than ours in April. Maybe I will give it a try in Aug & see if it's doable after all.

My brother and I did the early opening at Epcot on 6/27. We hit Soarin, Mission Space and Test Track all within the first hour. The rest of my family arrived at 11:30. By that time the Soarin Fast PAss time was 5:30-6:30, and every thing else was crowded as well. On Thursday we hig MGM at opening and did Tower of Terror, Star Tours, Indiana Jones and Rock n Roll roller coaster all within the first hour and a half. I cannot stress enough, how much more you get done by getting to the parks by opening and doing all the major rides before it gets too hot and crowded.

Can anyone tell me what time the EMH at night will end for July 6-13. Maybe it will be the same as it was for the beginning of July. You said that you just got back. What time did MK close for EMH at night?

That evening I remember it was POURING all through dinner time. We debated whether to go to MK hoping the crowds had been chased out... we went to MGM instead that night. As it was though, we went to MK for opening the next morning and rode seven rides within the first hour... sunshine the whole time... so I can't complain.

We were there early June. Evening EMH was great. I will never do the mornings again.
