I know there have been a lot of mixed reviews on hojos lately so I thought I would add to it.

Pros
Within walking distance. The walk for us was totally fine. Sure we were tired on the way back from dl but we always are regardless of where we are headed.

Comfy beds. LOVED the beds. Just fantastic.

Choice of two pools. My kids actually preferred the garden pool.

Mimis is so close! The boys loved the smoothies there.

The room itself was really roomy.

Clean. I was surprised at the lack of dust when I did my bed bug check. Weird I know but the thought of bed bugs scare the crap out of me so I always check before I bring my bags in any hotel.

The staff. When I checked in I had two different staff members ask if I needed help with my bags. Also the woman who was working at the mini mart by the game room was great. She was very helpful, even when it came to things that had nothing to do with hojos.

Cons
Hotel itself is showing its age. It is clean and well maintained but you can tell this is an older hotel.

No breakfast. Really wish we had the option of grabbing a bagel or fruit in the mornings.

No towels during one of our swims. We just shook it off and went up to the room but it would have been nice to have towels.

We had room 2207 and had a good stay. There were a few cons but I think you run into small issues wherever you stay. Overall it was a good experience and it will stay on our list of hotels to stay at.

Thanks for that, we've booked there for later this year and have also read mixed reviews lately. We're happy with our choice now though. What kind of room did you have? We've booked the kids suite which looks perfect for our family of 5. I'm glad you had a great holiday!

We had the deluxe double queen, which was in building two by the freeway. I didn't hear the noise at all, but maybe that is because we faced the pool?

I chose this room so we could have a microwave but honestly we didn't use it much and will probably get a different room type next time. Maybe even the kids suite.

I'm sure you will enjoy your stay.

If you plan on walking from hojo to DL we found it to take about 10 minutes.

Have a great trip:wizard:
