We ate at a ton of new places this time around. I'll try to do a quick pros/cons about the places we ate at. We were a family of four on the DDP, we paid for one meal OOP. We had a LOT of really good ressies before the trip (CRT, HW&V, etc) but gave them up and chose other places once we got there. After our first character meal at Akershus, we realized that character meals were NOT a good thing for our kiddos.
Cape May Cafe: We had dinner here twice, we loved the seafood buffet so much the first night, we made a second ressie for our last night as well. Great both times and fairly low key for a buffet. We also ate the character breakfast here, which was a very quiet, very nice character breakfast.
Whispering Canyon Cafe: Way too rowdy for our tastes, although DD loved the pony ride around the restaurant. None of us were huge fans of the food. It was our second time eating here and we were less than thrilled.
Akershus: Great character interaction, especially for a princess fresh from BBB. The M&G with Belle was a bit rushed, but she loved my DS so much she stopped by our table on her way to a break.
The food was also very good, we enjoyed the meal. The cold buffet was not fantastic but it was a great way to start the meal. We wished there was more dessert, it was so good we ate it all up and wanted more.
Captain's Grille (in the Yacht Club): DE-licious! and nice and relaxing. We would absolutely eat here again, hands down.
Garden Grill: We had a rather inattentive server but the food was delicious and the character interaction was fantastic. We love it here!
Grand Floridian Cafe (dinner): Very yummy, again an inattentive server who seemed annoyed that we had kids in Disney World
but we continue to like GFC for their food
CS places we ate at:
Columbia Harbour House: Delicious, good food for the kiddos too, we liked it all around
Cosmic Rays: Delicious as usual, although the kids food choices seemed lacking here. We fed them snacks out of our picnic bag for this meal, they didn't like the offerings
Flame Tree BBQ: Quite yummy. The fruit plate was a huge hit with my kids, great to split with two kids!
Sunshine Seasons: delicious breakfast, especially the croissant berry bread pudding (anyone have the recipe??)
Pinnochio Village Haus: basic theme park food, nothing special or exciting there
Lotus Flower in China: DELICIOUS and hardly busy. A very quiet place to eat some yummy Chinese food. Would definitley eat here again!
Karmel Kuchen in Germany has some awesome caramel snacks...worth it!
