Just back - some quick notes observations (calif Grille viewing, Stitch's escape)....

We just got back today from a last minute 4 day mini-vacation at WDW and decided to pass some thoughts along.

1: California Grille - you now much check into a desk on the 2nd floor before they let you up in a special elevator. Thus, no more last minute jaunts to the top of the Contemp to see Wishes. Really bummed my son out, but we made it back inside MK to see them from Main Street, so all was not lost.

2: Stitch's Escape - saw the AP preview on Friday. Cute and scary enough for my 5 yr old son. Wife and I were disappointed. It did make him feel like a big kid doing the ride though.

3: Crowds - not bad at all. F&W Fest had long lines for the booths, but we did everything we wanted except Mermaid (bad timing on our part - no biggy). Did all of MK minus Peter Pan on Monday the 8th with time to spare. AK/Studios on Sunday were very good as seeing attractions go.

4: Weather - PERFECT! Warm days, slight if any chill at night.

5: Party of the Senses - Another great time and food. Found some good wine to buy.

Glad you had a nice trip!

Were you able to get into the parks early (i.e., into MGM's main street) before official park opening times?

I've read recommendations in the Unofficial Guide and on thse boards to get to parks 20 mins early (before official opening time), but if we can't get in, I think my young children would explode with anticipation.
