Just back some observations.

Something else that was annoying was everywhere you looked there were kids on these shoe/skate things wheeling about, losing control and nearly knocking people down. I really don't understand why those are allowed. I guess maybe they are too hard to detect if they look like shoes? Seems dangerous and like a law suit waiting to happen if you ask me. I know if my child got knocked down by some hoodlum on wheels, I wouldn't be very happy.
Oh no! Please don't tell me parents are letting their kids wear those things in WDW?!?!

Honestly, what are some parents thinking?????

Oh yeah. The wheelies shoes are rampid (??) at Disney). From what I've heard, it's been getting worse. However, they are not allowed at Disney. People can be told to take out the wheels/change shoes if wearing them.

For those of you who appreciate humor and those who sent me the PM's thanking me for my post about "Pet Peeves" and "Fungrabbers", thanks for getting it.

For those of you who attacked me for my post. I'd also like to thank you for making it that much more fun. :rotfl2:

Just returned from a wonderful five nights at BCV. It was a great trip but there was a few annoyances and I was wondering if anyone else has observed these. People smoking while walking through the parks. Saw this each and every day and the most disappointing part is that CM's would walk right by these people without saying a word. Flash photography in attractions. Again a constant on almost every attraction with no CM present. My suggestion at guest relations was why not just allow it if nothing could be down to stop it. We ate lunch outside at Casey's one day and had to move inside because despite the signs every three feet stating do not feed the birds, people feel the need to feed the birds, some while practically leaning on the signs. Makes it tough to eat your lunch when birds are dive bombing the tables trying to get to the food these people are giving them. Again, no CM enforcement. And last but not least, it was amazing how many people do not get the concept that when an elevator door opens, most likely people will be getting off the elevator, and you should let the people off the elevator before trying to enter it. We had families trying to push through us as we would be exiting the elevator. Almost forgot one more. The family that thought everyone was being rude when dad set up a camera on a tripod on one side of the bridge next to France, to take a family portrait on the other side of the bridge, and nobody would stop crossing the bridge. This guy wanted no one to cross the bridge until he got his picture. None of this spoiled our trip even a little, just seems that more and more people are either oblivious to the fact that other people are in the parks with them, or that they just don't care.
There is a book a book titled Don't sweat the small stuff, and the jist of it is "Don't let the rule breakers rent space in your head.notice move if you needed to save your food,or eat some other place, but then let it go. Your the one losing good memories of your hard earned vac. I have to do this all the time.

Just got back this afternoon. Noticed a few "rude" people. My DH was in an ECV or wheelchair for the whole trip. I did go solo to the park more often then he went to the parks but we made the best of it. Alot of the time people aren't paying attention and end up walking sideways or backward and running into the ECV/wheelchair. There was one lady in particular at Pocahantas. We were waiting in line before they opened the rope and she decided to plop herself right in front of us. Then they opened the first rope and we move to the next rope all is fine. Then when the last rope was opened and we were heading toward the wheelchair entrance the SAME lady was standing in the way without her family just in the way and not moving. Finally she got out of the way and we made it into the theater. Then another lady came up behind us once the theater got filled up and it was standing room only - well she was practically right on top of us. She was holding a kid and the grabbed my Mickey ears off my head. I just wish people would think before they do things (stand in peoples way when the other people where already there, etc.) I will have to agree with others that some people just don't know elevator or bus etiqutte. But all in all most people were very courteous.

These things in no way dampened our trip. We had a great time (as much as we could with my dh not able to walk or ride many rides)

Now here's my question.... Are people ALLOWED to sit on those ramps? I mean this was an hour b/f the parade so I think it is insane for her to expect people walking around the parks to move around her. But I can see once the parade starts that being an "ok" place to sit. To me it is not worth getting into countless fights w/ people about how "I AM NOT MOVING" for an hour... why not sit on the damn curb or street?
People are not allowed to sit on the ramps before or during the parades. The CMs will tell them to move, but there are not enough CMs to keep everything clear.

I just got back and I noticed the smoking and them just grounding out on the concrete or flicking their butts anywhere. I noticed this at All Stars Sports and it grossed me out.

Trash was so much more prevalent this time - cups tossed in the rivers, ponds, fountains. Wrappers just dropped on the ground.

CMs not caring.

Lots of high schoolers with their chaperones nowhere to be found and them acting like Jr. High School. Being brats.

Strollers bumping into you, into the backs of your heels and when you turn around the pusher not even looking where they were going.

The parade and firework wait-brigade has gotten to be a bit much.

All of this leads me to say - you're right, I shouldn't be complaining and if it does bother me then I shouldn't return. I just feel that it's gotten lax at the parks and resorts. I don't remember it being this bad. Seeing trash on the ground and in the ponds, fountains it very gross. Disney World is different.

I had a little girl kicking me in the back when I watched the Stunt Car Show in MGM. Her mother said don't a few times but anytime her mother wasn't watching, I'd get kicked. It made for an trying time because I couldn't move anywhere else and it was packed.

I think in most cases it's the parents or chaperone's fault.

It just makes for less of a magical time. Ely wishing for perfection at WDW and downhearted when it's not.
