Just Back...Some Feedback on FP+

Just back from a magical vacation...Spent a day at WL, then five days on the Dream Cruise and back to BLT for three days...

We first experienced FP+ in October in the early stages and have had the opportunity to try it again now in March... Overall, we were pleased... our first glitch this time was at BTM in MK (Ride was down) however, we were offered the opportunity to go to four other attractions as a replacement and it worked out fine...We were also able to change out choices at the last minute (i.e., when we arrived at Little Mermaid Ride there was a 5 minute wait so rather than use the fast pass, we changed experiences and waited on standby and then went on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh instead)...

We experienced moderate crowds...3/1 was really busy when we arrived in the early afternoon...but when we came back at 7 pm...lines were minimal and we were able to enjoy top attractions, again and again...

The new system works for us as we are no longer at the parks at Rope Drop (Our older children like sleeping in) and can plan and change plans at the last minute...

When we visited in September, we found it phenomenal to be able to change our FP+ spur of the moment like that. Aside from one glitch, momentarily being unable to view our "schedule" on MDE, we had a very pleasant experience with FP+ and I look forward to the benefits of the changes on our next trip in October (or worst case scenario, Feb 2015.) I'm sure it's likely that there have been further changes since our last visit but that's okay; we'll figure it out!

This is the unsung hero of the new FP+ program, IMO. Under the old system, if you spent a FP on something and showed up and didn't need it, well, that was a wasted FP. Now, you can just swap it for something that actually needs it. We did this several times on our last trip, very handy!

Agreed. This is one of the very few things I like about FP+.

We'll be at WDW in 2 weeks for the first time without the kids, and as veteran young retirees, the "sleeping in" factor is a +++++ for my wife already.

Also, I know there have been complaints about being able to connect to MDE in the parks but we had no issues with the exception of being very deep within a queue and not having access (i.e., prior to getting on POTC) which was no surprise being under all that concrete...
