I know there is a separate trip report section, but as I got so much help here, I hope it's o.k. to say a quick, "Thank you!"

We were there the 4th, 5th, and 6th, and it was truly magical. Crowds were very low, especially the 4th and 5th. We only waited for Indy, TSMM, and Dole whips. Many rides had no lines at all-we did Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster and Pirates over and over, just because our boys wanted to! It was terrific!

Definitely used the magic morning advice. Even with low crowds, lines developed at Fantasy Land by midmorning, but we didn't have to wait in any of them, thanks to all of you (oh, and we loved Pan and Dumbo)! Also rode the teacups three times!

Our younger son got into Jedi training, and we also really enjoyed the Aladdin show, and my husband loved California Screamin. We stayed at the Red Lion and thought the walk was easy and the hotel very nice.
We Adored the McCormick and Schmick's happy hour-what a deal!

Only mishaps: I didn't fully understand how WET you get standing by the railing at WOC. We looked and felt like a fire hose had been turned on us! Spectacular show, but we will choose a different section!
Mishap two: I was so loving the sunny weather that I forgot to drink enough water and we had to take an hour long tiki room/lounge break while I rehydrated (duh).

Other than that, it really surpassed all our expectations, so thank you all again. We can't wait to go back.

Sounds like a wonderful time. We leave in just 9 days, and we hope that we have the same experience as you.

Sounds like you had lots of fun! for WOC, which rail were you at? I stood by the rail in the 'wet zone' I think in the blue section, and didn't get wet at all :confused3 I guess it just depends on the day.

We were by the rail in the red section, to the right.

The really funny thing is we got there 45 minutes early to get what I thought would be our best bet in the red section....so we waited and waited to get drenched! I had plenty of warning-I just didn't realize they Really meant wet-lol. We did Grizzly River Run four times and got nowhere near as drenched.

We stopped at a little mini mart on the way back and the clerk said, "What happened???" It just made for a fun memory, though. We've already enjoyed telling people about it.:rotfl2:

We got wet the second night we seen it too. We were in the blue, totally worth getting wet for.

Congrats on having a wonderful time. You are lucky you left when you did because the rest of the week was pretty busy. However, the weather was beautiful on Friday and Saturday.

Glad to hear your trip was everything you hoped it would be. :0 We leave the day after tomorrow and are there til Sat. We are staying at Red Lion also and wondered if it was a quiet hotel and how long the walk was to DL?

TIA :)
Jenn

We arrived way to late for the show and ended up in the red wet section also. There was no where else to go. It was only a slight drizzle for the irst 3/4 of and then it was a terrential downpour!! We had to run out at that time because my 5 year old didn't have a jacket and she was cooold! I difinitely would tell people to get there really early now that I know just how wet you can get! It was fun anyway!:cool1:

I'd like to hear about this as well, and also about whether the beds were comfortable or not. Was the bedding decent (as in no sandpaper sheets)? Thanks!

Thanks for posting....great mini report. :thumbsup2

Isn't it great to ride those fast loaders over & over.

Very smart. Even on days with low crowds, it is always best to ride the slow loaders (many in Fantasyland) first thing. :)

Our younger son got into Jedi training,

Cool. :cool2:
