We spent May 22-29 at WDW, no dining plan and only 2 ADRs for the whole trip. One for Boma and one for 'Ohana. Since the reviews on 'Ohana range so wildly I have been waiting to hit it on a bad night. NOT YET!!! We have probably eaten at 'Ohana about 7 times and this one was the very best! We arrived for our 9:35 ressie at 9:15. The hostess apologized and told us they were 20 minutes behind. However we were only seated 2 minutes late.
Our cousin was Heather and she was great. As usual they got the salad, wontons and wings out quickly followed shortly by the noodles and veggies. Then usually there is a bit of a wait for the meat to come around. They got to us very quickly with the beef; medium rare and very good! Within minutes they brought around the turkey and pork. Both were wonderfully juicy and cooked perfectly. Then the shrimp! It was wonderful!
They have a couple of new sauces since we were there last. They still had the peanut sauce (yum) but had sweet and sour and a spicy mustard sauce too. The spicy mustard is my new favorite! It was good on everything.
The waiters came around with seconds on meat in a timely manner although we didnt get any seconds except shrimp. Then of course the Bread pudding which was wonderful. Usually, we get 2 of those but had no room this time.
I was worried that the service or availability of the different meats would be limited arriving as late as we did but that was not the case. We had great attention for the whole time we were there and it was nice as the restaurant emptied and became a little quieter.
