Day 3:

Let me start off by saying that this was not to be our best dining day. Not by a long shot!

We did EMH at Epcot and decided to grab a quick breakfast at The Electric Umbrella. Big mistake! DD and DS got bagel sandwiches with cheese, egg, and sausage. Although these sandwiches were huge, they were completly without taste. DH and I each got breakfast burritos that were equally large, but hard as rocks! They were either baked or fried, I'm not sure which, but very difficult to eat. I gave up after about three bites.

Lunch was Yakitori House in Japan (WS).
We all got the combo plates that had beef and chicken skewers and rice. The food was very tasty, but the portions here are tiny! None of us are big eaters but we all left hungry.
Oh yeah - we also had strawberry and lemon granitas in Italy. Very refreshing.

Rain cancelled our evening plans to return to a park, so we ventured off property and found a Joe's Crab Shack, one of our favorite chain restaurants. I won't bore you with details of this meal. Very good, but predictable.

Day 4:

We had a 10:00 ps for Crystal Palace at MK.
Breakfast at Donald's was great, but did not even compare to this one! The variety was amazing! On the children's buffet (which adults are welcome choose from) had Pooh waffles and breakfast pizza. There was a huge fruit bar with all kinds of berries and melon slices. Whipped cream was also available. Next came pancakes, grilled ham, bacon, and sausage; links and patty, roasted red skinned potatoes with bacon and onion, cheesy baked hashbrown casserole, fritata, and this incredible breakfast lasagne. Not what you might think. It's kind of a bread pudding with blueberries, bananas, and apples, and a sticky sauce. Sooo good! There was also a bread bar with muffins and bagels and such, but I wasn't about to fill up on bread in this place!
We really did ourselves in with this one!
Oh - the characters were Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger, with Pooh in the lobby. The were all very attentive and lots of fun. We got great pictures.

After that mega-breakfast, we skipped lunch again.
At dinner time we found ourselves at MGM, and I was having a hot dog craving. So we found some of the best I've ever had anywhere at Toluca Turkey Legs. All beef, foot long, with or without chili and cheese. I had mine without and the rest had theirs with. Everyone was happy.

We got back to CBR about 10:30 and the kids were hungry again.
Down to the food court for a large pepperoni pizza to go. It was ready in about 15 minutes and not bad at all. Not gourmet, but better than mall pizza.

Day 5:

Our last park day and we wern't going to waste it in restaurants!
We did EMH at AK, with plans to grab a quick bite there. Never found what we wanted so we just grabbed churros and munched while we walked. Fried dough with cinnimon and sugar; what's not to like?

At lunch, we decided to head over to Wilderness Lodge to check things out for a future visit. We stopped in at Roaring Forks, the counter service place. The special of the day was fish and chips, so DH, DD, and I had that, while DS had pizza.
We were not at all impressed here. Service was very, very slow and seemed chaotic. DS had finished his pizza long before our fish and chips even arrived. DS will eat the frozen 59 cent variety of pizza, so when he said this pizza was good, keep that in mind.
Our fish was OK, but not nearly as good as Columbia Harbour House.

At MK that afternoon, we got our second pineapple float and, again , DS had the chocolate vanilla swirl. He pretty much sticks to what he knows. No food adventures for him.
We also had popcorn right before closing. What is it about being out somewhere like a park or a ballgame, that makes popcorn taste so much better? I've always wondered that.

We ended up eating off-site again for dinner after the park
closed at 7:00.

That was the end of our adventures in WDW dining. Can't wait to do it all (well, most of it) again!

Thanks for reading!

Well, you cerrtainly had a wide variety of dining spots during your trip.

I noticed you mentioned the hot dogs at MGM were all beef. Is that common in Texas? Here in the Chicago area many hot dog joints use beef only, too. I wonder how this varies region to region?

Thanks for your reviews.
