Just returned from our kidless trip, took the kids in August for 9 days. Thought it was just as hot and the parks were much more crowded. Epcot was packed over weekend for the F&W festival. We loved it though, had a great time eating and drinking. All in all I'm glad we took the kids in August. Monday went to MK and it was crowded, Fastpasses were gone by noon. Whatever you do -- do not miss WISHES!! It was wonderful, magical. DH got on the hot seat in WWTBAM and I got to the #1 spot but they ran out of time. Philharmagic is a must see too. Had our best Parks meal ever at the Brown Derby.

When in August were you there? I'm wondering if it was late enough that many folks were back at school already......I've always loved October at WDW and have never even considered going in the summer months!

Didn't think it would happen but one of the best meals we ever had was at the Brown Derby!!

Disappointed about the crowds, we're going in Dec because we've heard so many times that is a less crowded time.

Hope the "glow" of being in the world last awhile!!

We were there last 9 days of August. Southern schools start back around mid-August. It was moderately crowded but I felt like this past week was even more packed. It felt more manageable in August, I don't remember Fastpasses being gone so soon.
