I was so worried about the crowds for May 1st-8th. and I must say that the crowds were Low in the parks and at the resorts until Sunday May 8th the day we were going home. WOW! even the CM's at the POFQ said it was a zoo and that POFQ and PORS had every room booked. Our week was in the mid to high 70's and cloudy which, us being old we Loved it. It was sweater weather at night which felt great. We were only hit with rain a few times but each time only lasting a few mins. As we were leaving yesterday Sun. May 8th. it was clear, Sunny and in the upper 80's. and heating up..
We had a Great time and if you are staying at the POFQ a Must to see in the Scat Cat Lounge is a Great Jazz entertainer that is Awesome! Just so sad to be home but DH said that there would never be enough days for me at WDW because I won't be happy until I move into the Castle....

Glad to hear you had a great visit! Can't wait till June 8th rolls around. Port Orleans here we come!!! :cool1:

So glad you had a great time !!!

we are going to POFQ in July, how did you like the resort? Any tips you can give me?

thanks :cool1:

The best room which is a corner king bed is #5101.. building 5 just open your door on the first floor and your right into the food court. but we stayed in in building # 4 second floor 2 double beds Room # 4221. You would come out of the food court door turn left go up one flight of stairs turn left than a sharp right and 6 rooms down to the right it's there! However this room faces a court yard and parking lot which you could hardly see. But if you went through the courtyard there was a walkway right to the main and only bus stop which was a 3 to 4 min. walk in all which this way you don't have to go through the food court and main building, it was Great! Our room was clean and everyone was super friendly and I seen lots of towel animals on many window ledges it was fun to see. We got none but I figured maybe because we had no children with us. We enjoyed the food at the food court very much and those beignets WOW! The bus and boat transportation was Great with only 2 30 min waits and we always got a seat being that we were always picked up first and dropped off first. Eventhough the weather was cool ok cold to me the pool was like bath water so everyone was swimming and having fun. So if you are going to stay at POFQ go and enjoy!

Forgot, We had a small frige in our room and we did have a hair dryer and a 4 cup coffee pot stocked with coffee and an ironing board and iron in our room. The air conditioner worked Great we could control the temperture. We also had a safe in the wall with a key and we were left daily with lots of towels and mickey mouse soaps and shampoos. Also the two rooms I told you of in my earlier post were both non-smoking rooms and not a trace of smoke smell what-so-ever.

Totally agree about the crowds. We were there 4/30-5/7 and walked right on most rides! I stayed at AKL, but visited POR and FQ and wanted to recommend the carriage ride there! It was $30 for 30 minutes and a nice ride around both resorts! :flower:
