Just Back

The good:
Weather on our Epcot day was awesome. There was a nice breeze in the air during the evening.
We liked the Wilderness Lodge (our heart belongs to the Yacht Club)
We had an AWESOME safari guide at AK; southern lady…can’t remember her name.
We had a good transportation experience with busses and boats. We waited like 20 minutes for a bus back to WL from DTD once, but other times busses were much more frequent.
TTA and Space Mountain were open this year!
Found out at the Contemporary you can pay for a soft serve ice cream and pile it as high as you want to (self serve) Awesome!
CM’s at Cosmic Ray’s were the best counter service team. We ate there twice. They actually fetched us a high chair and came around asking if we need more ketchup, etc. awesome!
My wife loved the move it shake it celebrate it street party/ parade. We did it 3 times.
Online Check In!! We got our room at 8:15 AM!

The bad:
The eating place at The Land area in Epcot was a disaster. Napkins all over the floor and our table had dirty shoes under it. Also, trashcans were over flowing. It looked like an elementary school cafeteria after the last lunch cycle.
They’ve got to get these CM’s to quit texting
Personal preference, but we much prefer Jiminy Cricket’s SpectroMagic and Wishes to the new blow up the castle fireworks show and the Pete on a dragon parade. We called it Summer Craptastic.
I thought the waitress would never bring the check at Trail’s End.
If you pay for Rain Forest Café on your KTTW Card, you have to sign no less than 5 receipts. This was more funny than bad.
Trash cans in general were frequently piled to overflowing… I don’t care about looks, but I just want to dump my tray in the closest trash can.
The CM who forgot my 10% discount for Disney Visa at World of Disney. Physically beat the crap out of his computer screen when doing our refund. I mean this was rude, but we just smiled and laughed once we were out of the store.
1/5 of Mainstreet was draped in cloth where they’re painting the buildings, I guess.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We had similar experience with the busses and transport, but didn't even have a one wait over 10 minutes, our time must have been spot on all week. You also inspired me to try Cosmic Rays in all our times in the parks I dont think I've ever eaten there, we really need to give it a shot.

Yeah! If it's not to hot try to score a castle view seat outside. If it's too hot...enjoy Sonny Eclipse's show.

We used to eat at Columbia Harbour House, but they took some sandwich my wife liked off the menu, so we skipped it this time.

I have to agree with the new fireworks. I was not impressed. The music was not catchy and did not bring tears to my eyes like Wishes. It was good to see the MSEP, as it brought back childhood memories, but I realized how much I do love Spectro. Probably be there for the premiere was not good either, crowds were massive. However, I am still ready to head back soon!!!

Tarrbear, Very manageable at the beginning of the trip and progressively more crowded as the trip went on. Evening EMH at MK was crowded....well we left at 10:15, so we didn't stay for the EMH but that was much much much more crowded than the non emh night. My wife said we have seen worse crowds (and we always go at the beginning of June). I really thought they were about the same. Star Wars weekends are nuts...but we do rope drops for the parks so we never wait in lines, much.

The thread I previously read also listed CM texting as a complaint; a very valid complaint

The new generation is full of texters. My DS15 had 3000 texts last month. Fortunately, our plan has unlimited texting.
